Problem with 4H and 4l

Brief desc: 98 Exp, 5.4, air susp.. Prob: Goes into 2h and a4wd ok. Cant seem to switch into 4h or 4l. Tried in gear, outa gear, in neutral.. lost here. any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes those switches need to be cleaned.

You can pull the switch and clean the contacts to see if that could be the culprit.

Does your truck send power to the front wheels in A4WD like it should?

Update.. now the A4wd doesnt work either.. joy.. . I'll try and pull the switch to see whats going on.

Yeah, I'm putting my money (only .02 mind you ) on the switch.

I am talking about the switch that is on the dash that you turn to activate the various 4WD modes.
