01 expedition problem
Does anyone think that a missing electrode on #3 spark plug is just coincidence that he has a #3 bad valve??? Maybe the missing part of the spark plug had to go somewhere? Like out one of the valves. I'm fairly sure that if the valve tried to close, with the electrode was in the way, it would...- 4x4dad

Expy's with high milage
I just bought a 01 4x4 XLT (5.4L) with 150k, for $4,500. Another $300 in parts and labor for a full tuneup, getting nearly 20mph on highway with easy acceleration. Runs like new.... My dad's abused and neglected 97 F-150 5.4L has 240k...and he doesn't take care of it at all!!!!- 4x4dad

99' expedition shakes after engine cleaning
Spark plug holes.... I'm not sure how the 4.6 compares to the 5.4, but if they are similar, there is a good chance that you filled up the spark plug wells with liquid. That would cause your spark plugs to foul (short out). It would require pulling the boots off of the plugs to look for fluid...- 4x4dad

XLT 4x4....What is the biggest tires?
I work for Toyo Tires North America, located in White, GA. I'm looking at buying a set of 33x13.5 R17. It looks like I'll have plenty of clearance, but I want to make sure I can turn a 13in wide tire in the fenders. What's the biggest size tires you guys have on a factory spec'd XLT 4x4....2001...- 4x4dad
