Currently 2010 Limited EL White Platinum Tri Coat Metallic Previously had a 2005 Limited Black 4x4 and prior to that had a 2003 Black Eddie Bauer 4x4.- bnvus

2007 Expedition EL. Just took delivery. Gas shocker!
Yeah my 05 did do better around town but not by much. Since the EL is a lot heavier the gas mileage is not going to be great. Kind of why I waited for 2010 with the six speed tranny. I now average 12/13 around town and 17/18 on the highway.- bnvus

I had 125K miles on my 2005 Limited before I traded it in this year for the 2010. That Expedition was single handedly the best truck I have ever owned. The only thing I had to replace in that was brakes, (60K) serpentine belt (80K) and a battery (100K). Now, I had a 2003 prior that had a lot...- bnvus

There won't be any problems. I ran aftermarket rims that were 20x9.5 with 305 50's on them and the didn't have ant problems at all.- bnvus

Hopefully Small engine issue ... Help??
Do a search for testing the coil packs. I believe you have to "ohm" them out. Also make sure you didn't "over oil" the K&N as well. Several documented issues of over oiling the filter causing CEL to go off and run like crap. Try cleaning up the throttle body (MAF) as well. Last but not...- bnvus

Damn Rick, Sounds like we made the same deal. I got 10K for my trade (had 125K) on my 05 LTD. But yeah a little over 46K is what I got for my White LTD EL.- bnvus

New Expy & new to the forum
Congrats. Retired AF myself here in Va. I just traded my 05 in for a 2010 Limited. A lot of nice upgrades. The navigation unit is sweet. Power rear hatch and the power running boards are a great option. Good luck with it.- bnvus

Spark Plug Change on 3V motor
Good Info. As I am going to change mine in the spring. I will say this though. I have 120K on my 05 and it is holding in there like a champ. This has been an EXTREMELY good truck. Much better than my old 2003.- bnvus

Might actually be the front Diff. There is a TSB out to rebuild the front clutch packs with stiffer springs. What year Expy?- bnvus

Thinking of buying 03+ expedition
That is true. TSB 06-15-2 tells you the procedures to properly remove the plugs from the 3V motor. However keep in mind the 2V also has a TSB out 07-15-2 which warns of thread removal in aluminum heads. A much more severe problem to worry about.- bnvus
