    Had the same issue on my '05. Change all the plugs, coils, and caps together at regular intervals to avoid the issue. Also read the code first to see what it says. Some say change the converters too as they only last about 100K.

    How long did your Battery Last?

    I never have had good luck with Motorcraft batteries in 40 years. I had one DOA right out of the dealership once. I'm an AAA member and theirs don't last long either. NAPA or Interstate seem to be pretty good.

    In my '05 (shown) I mounted my ham rig in the console with the control head above the coin tray. My '16 doesn't have any room in the console so I'm thinking of mounting the entire radio on the right side of the console facing up in order to see the controls.

    For what it is worth I had my '05 "flushed" at 165k. Not sure of the exact procedure they did tho. Then at 262k lost the fourth gear (OD) and had it rebuilt. Maybe I should have had it replaced at regular intervals (like 100k), who knows. Now has almost 300k on it.
