Problem solved Update: I did send my truck to the mechanic which I just got back a couple days ago. Turns out the number 6 coil needed to be replaced and my spark plugs weren't properly tightened. So it looks like the blame is on me because I did the last plug change without a torque wrench...- Chitty

I actually did clean it out about 5 months ago and trust me, it wasn't just a black ring...I took the entire intake out and gave it a good cleaning. Unfortunately it didn't really help. I'm going to give the PVC assembly a shot and see if it helps.- Chitty
