Hi Everyone,

This is my first post with a problem I have been plagued with for a while. My 1997 Ford Expedition EB edition has been idling and driving like a cylinder is misfiring. I believe this began happening after driving through a large puddle of water. I took it to a mechanic who checked my codes. The codes he received led me to fix the driver's side O2 sensor, EGR valve, MAF Sensor and #6 plug and coil. Additionally I replaced all spark plugs but not the coils. After all of this it vibrates the same. What's also weird is that is doesn't vibrate all the time, it's kinda hit or miss. But it does seem to do it more often than not. A friend of mine thought it was a fuel delivery problem so I replaced the fuel regulator and filter. STILL NOTHING:( I really have no idea where to go from here. Please help!

Try this its cheap! Replace the whole pcv assembly. It's around $40 at ford. Sounds like you could have Vac line problems. Try that first!

pull your intake tube off and look at your TB if it has a black ring around the inside try cleaning it with throttle body cleaner and a rag.

I actually did clean it out about 5 months ago and trust me, it wasn't just a black ring...I took the entire intake out and gave it a good cleaning. Unfortunately it didn't really help. I'm going to give the PVC assembly a shot and see if it helps.

That was one of the original codes I received. But I did put a brand new MAF sensor in it.

Problem solved

Update: I did send my truck to the mechanic which I just got back a couple days ago. Turns out the number 6 coil needed to be replaced and my spark plugs weren't properly tightened. So it looks like the blame is on me because I did the last plug change without a torque wrench lol. Sorry to waist your time guys.
