Ford claims the trans cooler lines burst.... I'm still trying to figure out how they burst, but hopefully it'll be back up and running soon
Think it may be the 5star tune?
Yesterday I drove the Expy and everything was fine. Trans made a little hiccup on the shift from D to P, but nothing crazy.
This morning I go to drive it and reverse works, but there’s no forward drive in any of the gears. I got out and there are puddles of red hydraulic fluid under the truck...
Is the 2015 Explorer console a direct mount? How does it preserve cargo space? Is it just shorter in height than the Navi console?
If this mounts directly I may make this move. My wife was looking at the 2020 Explorers and its a really good setup. I find extra storage spaces in the backseat...
Same for me. Nothing too crazy though, worst I'm really dealing with is the occasional slow start-up.
I'm wondering if it may just require a little more processing power than these units have. I updated my wife's 2019 Edge and it handles it perfectly fine.
LMAO...looks like you really struck a nerve with this one...It's clearly a joke guys, lighten up.
But people concerned with cargo and people looking for a console are generally of 2 different antithetical groups. The console is inherently a luxury/convenience item; hence why it was only...
Ever heard of the law of diminishing returns? Sometimes there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
And almost every auto maker is including air dams on their SUVs and pickup trucks and they have been doing so for at least the last decade. My '03 explorer, my '06 and '17 expedition, my...
I call ********...you're claiming a 3+ ton vehicle gets 18 mpg on a very aggressive tune and with added weight? I have a 93 perf tune, and it is anything but efficient. if you're gonna lie at least make it believable and claim to be on a perf/tow or econ tune.
I def buy the air dam argument...
Did anyone do the APIM firmware update too? I think I want to do it but the instructions are unusually thin on the Cyan website. To be clear this is not a complaint, he has done what Ford refused to do, and for free; so I appreciate all of it.
But I cannot quite figure out the step for myself...
it looks like removing them drains power, the BC test shows -6HP and -10 lb-ft TQ, that was only brought back close to stock by adding the CAI....they failed to really complete the test by running it with the silencers and the CAI combined.
But in theory if you leave them in and add the CAI...
I want to test air flow, power output, fuel efficient changes, etc....see actual numbers instead of just hearing half the internet say their worthless and the other half say they’re great.
I got time with the 'rona shutting everything down...
I know a lot of people remove these from their Expy especially when putting in CAI; I am one of those people too.
however, I want to do some testing and playing with the truck while stuck at home; and wanted to test with and without the ....mine are no where to be found, and I cannot find them...
My extension came in yesterday. Install was little tight but it fits. I ended up bending the mount a little (maybe about 25-30*) to make the fit less tight and easier to access in the future.
Thanks for the heads-up on cleaning the top filter, I had no idea. I've only had mine for about 10k...
Looks good. I just ordered one too.
Capacity is really only an issue for me in the winter, so with this setup I may be able to make it through the whole summer.
