2000 Ford Expedition tap on cold startup
I agree with Junkyard Jack, usually at this mileage or before, one or more of the exhaust manifold studs loses tension from one cause or another, broken stud, pulled threads, corrosion and heat are not your friends here. What to look for when buying a gen 1 expy
Is the coolant crossover on your old manifold at the front, like the newer manifold? I can't tell from your photo where the metal L-pipe sits, is it at the front like the newer setup? I can see why Ford would have updated the design to eliminate a rigid, cantilevered metal pipe from the intake...- dddd1
