the explorer has far less sound deadening than the expedition. Much, much less engine and road noise in the expy, so I think what you're hearing is the noise enhancement.
the SPP has an enhanced exhaust note because it's a true dual exhaust, too.
I know there are people on here who use it and leave their damn keys in their car.
That's dumb as he-double-hockeysticks. Sorry, not sorry. Cars have 'walked away' around me due to that exact reason.
Had a mazdaspeed3 upon which Ford based the 2.3's and even 2.0 ecoboosts they run up to current, and the DI on that led to serious coking on the valves. Nothing worked for cleaning them aside from walnut blasting. Seafoam? nothing. B12 soaking with a brass brush? nope. Tried everything. I'd love...
You absolutely want the gen 2 3.5 ecoboost if anything for the port injection keeping the valves cleaner. Gen 1 3.5 EB really needs the intake manifold pulled and valves walnut blasted at around 100-125k miles due to carbon buildup. Not to mention a more efficient transmission and more hp/torque...
I've used the build-in nav on our sync4a and like it a lot. It's akin to apple maps in accuracy, which around here is a lot better than google for whatever reason.
Yes, the HD Tow rear diff is a 9.75" whereas the non-HD tow models are 8.8. Housing and ring gear are larger. I suspect the axle shafts are beefier too.
