Missing under load 2nd Gen 5.4 Expedition

No, the issue I has was loss of power while towing a trailer. I was shocked to find replacing the fuel filter was the fix. I now change the fuel filters on my Ford trucks proactively.

    Air suspension failure

Can't comment on the 3rd GEN, but on the 2nd GEN Navigators I have looked at eight NAVs in the pull a part yards, all eight were converted to coil springs from air suspension. Shows the air suspension systems are expensive to maintain and not easy for some to troubleshoot. I recently purchased...

    Driver's Power Seat Not Working

You may find much better results going to the 2nd GEN forum instead of the interior forum. I am researching a like issue in a 2nd GEN and that forum has dozens of posts on the seat issue.

Solved 2004 Lincoln/ Ford TMPS issue with SCHRADER 20096

Discount Tire installed four new SCHRADER 20096 TMPS (programmed and purchased at RockAuto) for my 2004 Lincoln Navigator last week. Discount Tire could not get the SCHRADER 20096 sensors to register with the Navigator using their high tech scanning tool. Did some research and purchased a $15...

    Front end update

Bross, I am going to suggest not easily done. You have a second generation 2003-2006. The update you want is from is from a third generation, 2007-2017. I find asking questions about part swaps such as seats, etc on forums like this, between generations typically don't end with a clear...

    Repurposing Suspension Air Compressor

The concern I would have- the air suspension compressor for the Expedition/ Navigator times out (***** down) after running for a designated amount of time as a protection against overheating the compressor motor. I speculate the compressor time out constraints greatly limits what the OEM...

Non functional OBD port 2004 Expedition

Had the exact issue last week on my 2004 Navigator. OBD port dead. It had been working earlier in the week. In my case, blown fuse. As Vincent Vega suggested, replace the fuse even if it passes a physical inspection and a resistance test. And of course audit to make sure you have the proper OBD...

Lessons learned, fuse box, electrical and air suspension issues on a 2004 Navigator

A few random repair items after purchasing a 2004 Lincoln Navigator RWD 141k miles. I purchased a 2004 Lincoln Navigator, RWD, with only background being a handful of pictures at auction. I saw in pictures the Navigator was sitting on its tires, but that was it. I went to the auction house...

    Wiring identification 03 Navigator

Old thread but on a 2003/2004 the purple wires run a complete loop from the driver front connection box, to the rear of the vehicle, to the passenger side, finally connecting to the fuse box and the VSM. The purple wire makes many stops on its route.

    Will a 2006 fuse box work on a 2004?

I purchased a flooded 2004 Lincoln Navigator. The fuse box has major corrosion. At the pull a part, they had a 2006 Navigator with a fuse box. I installed the 2006 fuse box in the 2004. No issues that I have identified.
