I have an 01. Had a similar problem. Ended up being bad U-Joints on front driveshaft. Not sure if yours is 4×4. But it fixed my shuttering issue.- Henrok76

Vibration problems
I had the same problem. Mainly during speeds between 40-60mph .I tried changing tires.No change.Then I checked the front ujoints ,on the driveshaft ,that goes to the front axle.They were totally shot . 9.00 a piece at Autozone. Replaced them both .And BAM!! Problem fixed. No more vibration at...- Henrok76

Overhead Compass and Temp Problem
I had the same problem on my 2001 Expedition.This worked like a charm.Took a whole 15 minutes to disassemble,fix,and reassemble.Thanks a a bunch guys .- Henrok76
