    Newb over here

I bet you can! I drooled over the Concours 14 in the bike magazines when it came out. The Valkyrie is an amazingly nimble beast considering its mass. The horizontally opposed six really has a low center of gravity. I really have to lean over to keep parts from scraping in the twisties though...

JD Mitchell, That is one nice bike! Looks like you could go coast to coast! Did they get rid of the handlebar buzz of the old Concours?

what do you ride? " I use my expy to get to work on days when I don't want to or can't ride my motorcycle. " What do you ride? I have a Valkyrie. With 6 cylinders only gets a little over 30 mpg but of course that depends on how I ride it.

"new" expy to be here by Friday! I can't wait! I'm a little worried. I went through a reputable trucking firm, has good reviews on the web but then when I called the driver's local number they gave me I talked to some lady with an Eastern European accent who sounded like I just woke her up. She...

    Hello everyone!

Calgary is a nice city. Ouch, and we think we have it bad in Oregon!:Violin: I have a little less than 12 mile commute one way daily, no traffic so gas shouldn't be a big problem. Either that or I'll continue to drive my stripper Exploder to work. My wife has a Camry she loves and works close...

    Hello everyone!

Home of the locally famous Taber corn? (I spent some time in Edmonton but it's been years). What is the cost of a litre of regular these days? Used to be higher in Canada than the US. Doesn't make sense. You're an oil producing country. Years ago they could make money selling oil sand oil at...

    Hello everyone!

Gas prices are outrageous. Yet I read a couple articles one in the local paper talking about that very thing with respect to SUV's. Apparently there is still a healthy appetite for new SUV's, Chevy Suburbans, Ford Expedition EL's, etc. I guess if you have a horse or two and need to move a bunch...

Interesting. That's quit the beast you have there. I BET IT'S FUN IN THE MUD! I am curious though, with all the restrictions on auto manufacturers with respect to fuel efficiency, why would they not want to put the best programs/parts on the vehicles and get the best gas mileage from the beginning?

I actually like your idea of suspension mods. Exhaust would be good. Programmer? Don't know that much about them. My guess is that air intakes and programmers and exhaust would increase power in certain situations but probably not gas mileage?

Family Vehicle Thanks, it's nice to be welcomed. On reading the posts of some of the members it is clear to me that most of you are more natural "gear heads" than I. I need my ride to stay fairly stock. My toddlers need to be able to climb over the running boards and into the car so raising it...

Very nice. Tastefully done. Those look like pretty big sway bars. Do they help your handling? Affect your ride?

I am curious about members experience with durability of their Exp's. How many miles can you expect out of the 5.4 assuming regular maintainance? One of the first things I did when I picked up my Explorer was service the transmission. Had 49000 on it when I bought it and now has 89000 without...
