Will my brake rotors need to be replaced at 60k?

I've never had a vehicle that was even close to needing rotors replaced at first pad change (typically 60k or). In the case of my 2016 F150, I had it at the dealer for another reason and they asked if I wanted rear pads replaced because they were low. I declined, but ordered some right away...

    An honest suggestion for Ford

Agree! We also searched out our 22 Expedition with the smaller screen. That solves the problem of not having any knobs, but vehicles have definitely gone too far down the fully integrated software road. It's not just Ford either. Our BMW was bought back because they couldn't get the brake...

    Replacing 1 tire?

Agree with previous comment, and will go even further to say that just maintaining the same exact tire pressure in every tire is not something every owner does. I'm probably one of the more particular people. I shoot for 0.5psi when I check them, but I won't hassle changing it if TPMS is telling...

    Floor soundproofing

As everyone said, very easy project. Electrical harness is a good point - disconnect the harness, but also follow it down to the floor to make sure there isn't a xmas tree clip attached to the seat rail. I'm also curious how it turns out for you. The road noise is mostly ok to me, but exhaust...

2018 XLT feels like it's pulsing while driving

What we feel with ours is exactly as you describe, but we tend to feel it more under light acceleration. Ours is a 2022. I always thought it was caused by the engine as opposed to transmission.

Power Stop drilled and slotted full kit with calipers

I've always read that slotted/drilled takes away friction surface, creates a point to cracks to emanate from, and is not necessary unless you're really heating up the brakes. I like the idea of sticking with solid.

    20in F150 wheels

??? I didn't check just now, but I'm pretty sure mounting pattern AND offsets are identical on all F150 and Expedition (+44 or so?). I have a 16 F150 and a 22 Expedition, both with aftermarket wheels. I've done all sorts of swaps between the two vehicles, most recently installing the Exp wheels...

Tire rotation at dealership ends up with scratches on the rims

Some things you just learn the hard way. I got my first damaged wheel back around 2000. Ever since, whenever I have any tire/wheel work, I take pictures of every wheel, when I drop the car off I inform them that I have pictures, I ask if they'd like to come look at the wheels and confirm they're...

    Ride is awful

I agree that the ride is horrible. My problems are impact harshness, and the big one - inability to dampen resonance. You can be riding on a surface that looks completely smooth but the slightest imperfections cause the body/frame to resonate and it takes a second or so to go away. And it's not...

Ford factory left an extra rear-left door handle cover in my vehicle

There will be a record of any work the dealer did before delivery since they will charge it back to Ford. You can ask them if you're really curious.

    Help! 2023 XLt Just died

I wouldn't think it would be a battery connection in such a new vehicle. Those are considered CC (critical characteristic) torques, so controlled by electrical nutrunner tied to plant error-proofing system. Possible one can get out loose, but unlikely. I often am of the opinion that it's less...

    2023 Limited Vibrating at 80mph

We have a 2022 XLT. It's our first Expedition so I can't compare to other MY's, but man is this thing terrible. I agree that wheel imbalance is probably your issue, but could also be driveline (driveshafts or half-shafts). Agree that if you can't get the Ford dealer to do it, Discount Tire does...

    Help drive on bumpy roads

We just bought a 22 Expedition for my wife. We also could not believe how jittery the ride was. The road can look perfectly fine, but it feels like you're hitting small bumps/cracks in the pavement. I think what you're likely complaining about is a resonance problem in the frame. Years ago when...

    Uneven Acceleration

Hello All... after having our last SUV bought back due to service dept not being able to correct some issues, we cast a wide net to see what large SUV would suit our needs at the right price. Well, in short we didn't really like anything out there. Seeing as the wife works for Ford and 2022's...
