transfer case issue--stuck in 4x4
I noticed a pretty mean vibration in the front of my expy at highway speed. Long story short-It's because the Transfer case was stuck in 4x4. I checked the usual suspects (fuses, Shift motor, hub actuator) and they're fine. I split the case and discovered that my electro-mag clutch was jammed...- nk321810

Yeah everything I read said it was a 3V too....but when I pulled off the valve cover to change the lifters (lash adjusters) I discovered it was in fact a 2V. So now it's a 2V with month-old lash adjusters. Any thoughts on the pcm/timing?- nk321810

top end knock 5.4 2V
Hi, I bought an 04' Expedition a few months ago. It has a knock in the top end. So far I've poured Marvel Mystery Oil in it, then I changed the oil and added Rislone. Then I put lifters in it. The knock is still there. My next thought is that it's a wrist-pin, but I was reading about it and saw...- nk321810

what price did you pay for your expy?
Just picked up an 04 4x4 XLT with a 5.4 and 173,000 for $3300. Its got a couple issues im on here trying to fix.- nk321810
