ok, sorry to be gone so long. I finally straight wired one of my speakers and got sound. I found that the original amp and sub are missing and a regular 6x9 was jerry-rigged in its place and obviously not connected right.
is there a way to loop the wires to omit the sub and amp area all together?

I can turn the rear seat controls on and off from the rear control panel. does not matter if the rear controls are on or off, the headphone icon will still display in the head unit and no sound in the cabin.
