LOL….of course….my first car was a 1955 Ford. I learned how to work on cars….you know Fix Or Repair Daily! Simple days with mechanical stuff….learned a lot. Now….you have to have a degree in computer science and analyzing equipment to diagnose the issues…just saying!
Yes they are sensitive. Lots of “electronic gadgets”. It’s certainly a learning process. I’m still trying to figure out why the outside keypad will not light up a function. I’ve gone down all the “rabbit holes” that may be the issue. Have yet to find the source of problem. Not that I would...
Thanks. The remote start began working after I replaced the battery on the Expedition. Even though the battery tested “OK” at the shop, it showed low amps so I replaced. That said, I will remember your advice for future reference, you never know when these different technologies on vehicles will...
Not dumb at all. When I replaced the battery the connectors were cleaned with a wire cleaner and of course the new battery terminals were new but the technician also roughed them up with brush just to be sure of good contact.

What the fix was I have no clue…except maybe the new batteries, even though it didn’t work the day I put them on…..but I’ll take it!
Thanks to...
I now have a new battery on the Expedition and in both fobs.
The previous battery when tested under a load showed to be good n the testing computer at the shop.
The only “weakness” was the CCA was 778 instead of 850. Since the battery was over 3 years old, I just got a new one.
However, so far...
Ok, I have Forscan on my laptop now. Any suggestions on which connection device I should get? Prices are all over the place from $15 to expensive….and many look exactly alike except for the price!
Regarding Forscan, I have a scanner that I purchased this year for another one of my cars. It had usb capabilities to get updates on software. It said that it could be used on Ford too.
Is there any reason I need to buy a Forscan?
Ok, I’m confused! Go figure! But if the remote start works with Ford Pass …..Why would it need a reset? It seems to me the remote start module is working. Yes…no?
