Just wanted to praise AutoStop Eliminator. 5 minute install!
I found one brand compatible with my 2026 back in Feb called, "Expedition (25-26') Start / Stop Eliminator" for $100. It was super simple to plug in and never had to think about it again. I appreciate everyone sharing experiences here without being tainted by advertising.- rcbassin

Towing module software update
Our dealer's service dept. schedule a tech to come to our house (30 min drive from dealer) and he pushed it, so I don't think it's an over the air (OTA) option. I think he had to push it through the computer port (OBD-II port "On-Board Diagnostics").- rcbassin

Not sure about your 2020 model compared to our 2026, but ours says "The 400-watt capacity is sufficient for charging laptops, tablets, phones, or running small electronic devices, but not for heavy-duty power tools or high-draw appliances." Auto Start Stop in the 2026
I just installed mine a week ago and it works flawlessly after only 5 minutes to install, and no technical knowledge whatsoever!!! Great product, for sure. I almost forgot that goofy feature existed. I wonder if it's such a valuable feature, why did Ford provide it with an OFF switch, LOL!- rcbassin

The Auto Start Stop in the 2026 can't be permanently disabled (based on my research). If I'm wrong, please explain in a reply. New 2026 Expedition Owners
Wow, only day #2 with our 2026 Expedition Active and it's quite a machine! I'm very interested in 'everything towing' for our 34 ft travel trailer. Sounds like we'll need an empty parking lot to get it all dialed in. Meanwhile, we're very interested to hear about all the other new owner...- rcbassin
