I'm back...And needing help with exhaust answers
I don't think you need a bent pipe at all. I just put a Thrush glasspack on my '98 Expy and all I needed was a reducer for the outlet. A 2 1/2" straight pipe with a reducer at the outlet will do the trick. I posted some pics of how I did mine over on the Ford Truck Enthusiast forum here...- Russ Vance

3 rd brake light bulbs that last
I can't tell you for certain about the drop in aspect, but my experience with LED lights it that they generate little to no heat...way last than conventional bulbs. I pretty much replace everything that burns out with LEDs, from my shop lights to my tail lights!- Russ Vance

I'll check those out. Thanks. I haven't checked out our yards yet. I'm pretty sure I'll need to replace the running boards in addition to the rocker panels, but finding some that aren't just as rusty as mine around here might be a challenge. Whew! I just finished reading your entire thread, and I am impressed with all you have poured into your truck, both time and money. I just picked mine up last weekend, so I've mostly worked on cleaning out dog hair and trying to minimize the smell of wet dog/cigarette smoke...not a great combo I...- Russ Vance

Well, I am now the proud owner of a 1998 Expedition. It has been my habit to join a matching forum any time I acquire a new (to me) vehicle. This one is especially important since some moron decided he/she didn't really need an owner's manual...grrr! Ordinarily not finding an owner's manual in...- Russ Vance
