Not too heavy( ~3-5lbs maybe). You could definitely do something with the heat shield if you needed room in that direction. I would think front to back would be where the issues would be with a larger tire, but I think you know more about that.
I'm sure people will think I'm crazy but the resonator at the rear has bothered me since we got the vehicle. The unsightly metal box hanging below the rear bumper just looked cheap. After finally installing the Bilsteins, the added lift made it even more in my face. I ended up cutting it off and...
I'm sure what they meant was not to leave the readylift spacers in and ALSO use the Bilsteins on a lifted setting. The stock height setting on the Bilsteins should not change anything geometry wise from what you have now.
Top of wheel wells: 39.25" in the front and 38.5" in the rear.. the body lines and running boards both measure out with 1 " rake from back to front(back higher)
I also had another mat to cover the entire cargo area (3rd row down). After dealing with folding over or pulling out the other one for awhile, I was immediately sold on buying this Ford factory one for everyday use! The convenience is well worth it. I still have the other one with higher sides...
We finally knocked out the Bilstein install this weekend. Expy rears and f150 4wd fronts.... I am convinced our factory shocks were blown after feeling the ride improvement with these. Will definitely be going some new wheels in the future to get the right stance.
I want to bring this topic back up... We also have the stock FX4 running boards and really would like to get rid of them. Can anyone think of a way, without test fitting, to verify if F150 or F250 running boards would bolt up to our mounting studs? Any ideas/thoughts are appreciated on this.
