To save anyone interested in doing this the time of reading through 54 pages of posts, here is what I ordered that worked without any clunking issues so far:
FRONT
Energy Suspension 9.5175R bushing kit
Energy Suspension 9.8121R end link set (only need 1, comes in pairs) - Dremel 1/2" of the...
I'm about to order everything for front/rear Hellwig Sway Bars, and I just wanted to confirm that I'm ordering the right part numbers and quantities.
Can those of you that have done this upgrade confirm the parts/quantities listed below are correct?
FRONT
1x Hellwig 7696 front sway bar
1x Moog...
Uh oh. I hope you don't have the same issue i had with my '19 Expedition that sat for months at the dealership due to Ford sending the wrong parts multiple times and parts being backordered (surprise surprise).
In my situation, it was an intermittent connection with the mag-ride electronic...
@Ross583 , you sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.
That worked! Took me about half a dozen tries, eventually it worked (with the parking brake off).
Thanks!
Yes, it still has the driver door keypad. I used/use it on my old/current Expedition all the time. I would not have accepted the new car if it didn't include it, it's invaluable.
I experienced constant stuttering while hard-wired into my '22 Expy. Went away when I switched to wireless Carplay. I still charge using a cable, but not off the integrated USB port. I use a cigarette charger plugged into the center storage cubby with the cable sticking out the front.
If this is the "slipping into neutral then slamming back into gear" issue, then it's at least encouraging that Ford has finally acknowledged it and is doing something about it. Long overdue, but it's better than the standard "could not reproduce" or useless fixes that Ford always knew wouldn't...
Several folks have noted the removal of the physical camera button on the '22 Expeditions with the Sync 4A (ie 15.5" screen), the absence of which requires you to press 2 virtual buttons to turn the 360 camera view on.
I would think an easy solution for Ford would be to add an always-present...
The '22 Expedition removes the anchoring posts (that keep the floor mats from moving around) in the 1st row passenger seat and both sides of the 2nd row. It does retain the 1st row driver posts.
You can use the pre-'22 Expedition Weathertech mats, but they just won't anchor to anything (aside...
On my previous '19 Expedition I was able to disable the seatbelt reminder warning chime. Trying to do the same with my '22, but not having any success following the factory instructions on page 52 of the owner's manual. In short, the seatbelt warning light never switches off in Step 2, so I'm...
Seems like wireless Apple Carplay eliminates the stuttering, so I'll just stick with that for now.
One thing I forgot to mention (others have already mentioned it): it is incomprehensible why Ford decided to eliminate the physical camera button and place it in an on-screen submenu requiring 2...
Picked up my '22 Limited SPP 4WD to replace my '19 Limited 4WD a few days ago. Having driven it a few days now, sharing my initial thoughts to compare and contrast the two.
PROS
Auto-stop-start is a lot less intrusive/noticeable. Engine startup is almost imperceptible on the '22, whereas on...
