Had same problem with my 2012 Expedition. Checked brake lights and they were not working. Put a brake light switch in from NAPA. It worked, but I had to push the pedal quite hard to get it to work. Really did not know how bad it was till I used cruise control and went to turn it off by just...
The new brake light switch solved my problem except I have to push the brake pedal fairly hard to work. My brake lights won't come on and I can't stop the cruise control without putting enough pressure on the pedal. I don't see any way to adjust it like the "Old Days". I have another switch...
Thanks for all your input guys. Trainmaster was right. I checked the brake lights and they would only come on once in awhile and it would shift when they did come on. I am replacing that brake light switch today or tomorrow. Glad this was it...the cheapest way out. Thank God because usually...
A few times in the last week my 2012 Limited with console shifter would not shift out of park. I tried restarting it, pumped the brake pedal a few times and nothing. Kept messing with it and finally came out of park.
Does anyone know what causes this and what the remedy is.
Thanks, JOHN
I had the exact same problem on my 2012. It would miss and pop under hard acceleration. I replaced the spark plugs and all 8 coils and it fixed my problem immediately,
I found 8 coils on Amazon for about $80.00 total. Probably not top of the line coils, but better than paying $60.00 each. I...
I had the problem with the puddle lamps and steering wheel button lights.
I purchased a OHP Forscan OBD2 Bluetooth scanner and downloaded Forscan to fix that problem. Have not got around to it yet, but I have another question for you members.
When I purchased this 2012 Expedition Limited it only...
Just did my front brakes on 2012 and they were metal on metal. I took them off and whoever did the brakes before I bought it put the inboard pads on the outside. Brake pads look similar, but the inboard pads have 2 humps on the top and outboard pads don't.
Learned this the hard way several years...

Had same problem with my 2012...I ended up changing spark plugs and coil packs...fixed problem and runs great now...I don't know if it was the plugs or coil packs that fixed it...I found the coil packs on amazon for under $80.00 for all 8. Good luck
Got about 150,000 miles on the odometer...below is the link for the coil packs...sure beats $70.00 apiece.

I am finally going to have a chance to work on the vehicle. I pulled a plug and it was totally shot. I got new plugs and coil packs...can't hurt...found cheap coil packs on Amazon...about $80.00 for 8. Don't usually buy cheap stuff, but only out 80 bucks if it doesn't fix it...next will be the...
Circumstances have not allowed me to do anything to the Expedition...Had to go out of town and took her Taurus SHO...would rather drive my truck...lol
Should be home soon and start checking out the Expedition...
Thanks Guys,
JOHN
