nope, no more inspections here. And actually its running great now. The honeycomb had come loose and was rattling around inside. It was a cheap quick fix. It went along with a $25 dollar muffler. Eventually I will cut out the other one. Its now drive it till it drops mode. the rocker panel...- trhymers

my pass side upper was falling apart inside. I cut it out and put in a piece of flexy pipe. It was a $7.00 fix. :-)- trhymers

Possessed '05 Expy?
On my 03 water was getting into the harness in the drivers side rocker panel. There is a purple wire that got corroded and was causing all sorts of electrical issues like you describe. Just take that plastic rocker panel cover and look at the wires in there. Confirm there has not been water...- trhymers

2001 5.4l Triton Engine Knocking Noise
try a stethoscope on the catalytic converter. my pass side is knocking like crazy. banging on it with a rubber mallet you would hear a rattle also.- trhymers

Accel Ignition Coils
I had a coil fail at about 90k. Figured i would replace the plugs then also, when I put in the Accel coils. No complaints at all. Actually seemed to gain a bit in the mpg department.- trhymers

i will have to check it out when i get home. i just called the ford parts dept and they do replace that part for $300.56 with a 4l1z-15604-ad, which is not the same as the SJB. so not sure what the tech was looking at.- trhymers

i told him thats what i was going to try then. i asked about the programing and he didnt think it was needed. but thats when he was mentioning that the new SJB contained the VSM. so i said my options were to just to try a used one for cheap or buy the new sjb, but looking at the new sjb i dont...- trhymers

just got back from the dealer and thy said it was the VSM. but according to the tech they dont sell it anymore, it is part of the smart junction box. the rear wiper just decided to carp out at the same time, he said the motor is hatched.- trhymers

i have a fluke. i also have a fuse tester. so with key on i got 11.8 volts across fuses 1, 13-16, 18. i touched the lead to test points on top of the fuses. which shows the fuses are good. i get impatient and so i throw money at things. :-)- trhymers

i know fuses are good i had removed them all and tested. but i am getting the over all same issues with the new fuse box. so i know the fuse box and fuses are not the issue. i checked the ground # 200/201??? by the box and it reads out good.- trhymers
