I have a 2022 SSP with max tow package (reg lenght) and pull a 28 foot trailer tongue to tail. I know mine has max tongue weight of 920#. That is with the stock tongue weight listed on the trailer from the factory plus anything that is added to the front end of the trailer after putting your...
I tow a 28” TT with my 2022 limited (not max) with max tow package. I use a 4point equalizer hitch and it tows great. Biggest issue you will probably have is keeping under your trucks payload. If you have a big family and lots of stuff in the truck you will need to keep an eye on weight. Im...
Mine does something else odd. Every so often when I turn up the radio volume with the knob all of a sudden the heat turns on to high and the ventilation screen appears on the display. I have been careful to be sure I wasn't bumping anything on the screen and it still does it randomly. I can...
Today I was told by my RV dealer (will be picking up new trailer next week) that fords are the one brand that in order to charge your trailer battery while driving you need to have a special part (cannot remember the name) plugged into the fuse box so the battery will charge. I guess it is a...
The sound is being pumped through the speakers. That is how it was with my Explorer. When the sound module went out the sound went away. Also if not programmed correctly you will not hear the sound either. Im guessing mine did not get programmed correctly at the factory.
In the explorer, the sound enhancement came through the speakers. It was connected with the sound module located in the right side rear access panel. When my radio went out so did the sound enhancement when it was put in sport mode. I would switch back and forth from normal to sport mode and...
Just curious if anyone else can tell a difference in sound when putting in sport mode?? I moved from a 2020 Explorer ST and when you put it in sport mode there was a very distinct difference in sound. It was much louder and mean sounding in the cabin. I realize this is enhanced through the...
Besides getting a smoother ride with the smaller rims and higher side wall tires, does it make any difference if you plan on towing a travel trailer? Is one better than the other for that?
I too would like to know. When I ordered, I did not know what it was so figured I didn’t need it. I went from an Explorer ST so it rode fairly rough but my expedition is much harsher. Which I would have added it to my order. I have heard smaller tires can help.
I had this same exact issue with my 2020 for Explorer. It made about 8 trips to the dealer for repairs before I just decided to trade it in. Every time they fixed it, it would go out again within a month or so. They changed the radio, then the sound module in the rear corner at least 3 times...
