    DDP/PDM firmware

This website mentions APIM firmware and possibly BCM firmware updates using Forscan. I know it doesn’t directly answer your question, but it could lead to other ideas or resources. https://community.cyanlabs.net/t/updating-sync-3-apim-firmware-calibration-files/6896

    Liftgate Button

I used some electrical contact cleaner on mine and it has been working well for at least a year.

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

I wouldn’t say that they are a better ride than properly working stock shocks. I think they are about the same. They are a lot better ride than the failed stock shocks and they don’t fail quickly. My stock front shocks failed in less than 5000 miles.

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

For the harsh ride, have the shocks ever been replaced? The non-CCD shocks are known for leaking early. If it was me, I would replace them with Bilstein’s.

    Rear Sway bar?

My front sway bar started squeaking recently. I re-greased it and used teflon tape. Hopefully that will keep it from coming back.

Rear brake pads and rotors junk at 25K miles.

Yes, they are known to wear quickly on the fourth gen’s. If you search the 4th gen forum for “rear pad” you will find multiple threads on the topic.

Rear brake pads and rotors junk at 25K miles.

Rear brake pads on these are known to wear quickly. They have a lot less material than the aftermarket pads. The rotors are probably junk from the metal to metal contact of being worn to the backing plate.

2020 Expy Overheating at Highway speeds.

To eliminate the cylinder head temperature sensor as a possibility, look at the transmission temperature while hot. If it is within 10°F of the engine temperature, the the cylinder head temperature sensor is fine.

Adaptive cruise resets to 85 mph

What year and trim level? I thought somebody mentioned that theirs automatically adjust the cruise speed based on speed limit signs. Maybe it is mis-reading signs. My wife’s Honda mis-reads the speed limit frequently, but it doesn’t adjust speed.

Just following up. Mine is still working fine.

    Liftgate button

I found that spraying the switch with electrical contact cleaner resolved my sticking switch.

Alarm randomly going off for no reason?

The other purpose of the interior sensor is to set off the alarm if it starts to rain with the sunroof open.

Alarm randomly going off for no reason?

It serves to wake up all 5 kids and the wife when you stop in the middle of the night at a gas station for a quick stop to use the restroom. It goes from a 5 minute stop to a 1.5 hour stop.

Alarm randomly going off for no reason?

Agree that there is probably a bug flying around in the car.
