So I bought a 2019 Expedition last week. I had the dealer add remote start to it. I thought they would give me a new fob with it but they didn't. Its really not that big of a deal but I was wondering if its possible to get a new fob and when its programmed be able to use it with just one fob?

If that was what you said you wanted, and the dealer could have done that using Ford parts, he then would have been able to sell you two fobs plus the labor charge for programming them. However, if all that was mentioned was adding "remote start" at no additional cost; and if they had the choice of using Ford parts or aftermarket, that may explain why you got one with second fobs...the cheapest option.

The way to only have one fob is by installing Ford perimeter plus. It gives you a shock sensor and allows them to program your existing fob to remote start by pressing lock/unlock/lock. $175 installed here locally. Not sure why they wouldn’t have suggested this option instead of the extra fob remote start package. They probably didn’t know any better.
