Huge complaints of the 515 being bad out of the box. I'm not sure exactly what was changed to fix that but the 1 difference I noticed was the heat stain(blue ring from welding) wasn't on any of the 546 I got but is on every 515 I've ever seen.
FYI you shiuld have posed this in the 3rd gen section.
Your 08 has multiple cats so if you have access to an infrared thermometer you can measure temperature of the cats and compare. A bad cat will be significantly hotter than the other. Cats are very expensive so I wouldn't just throw a cat at...
That blinking SES light guarantees it's a misfire but doesn't fault to give you a location. So I think most wait for the fault to show before taking action so they know where to start
As I said above I had the exact same issue. Do a continuity test of the wiring that runs from the alt to the pcm. No scope needed. I had one of them break and cause the same issue.
Unfortunately all manufacturers do this crap! They claim they do test these new designs but I'm willing to bet its just not long enough plus I really don't think they care once its off the lot. I feel like their outlook is more "get more of my cars on the road" vs lets make the most trouble free...
I took a look at the mode 6 image you posted and looks like cylinder 1 is your biggest issue but definitely seeing misfires all across the board. I would start with plugs amd go from there. If the mis continues move cylinder 1 coilcoil to another cylinder to see if the major mis follows.

I really hope this dealer was smart enough to allow some type of penetrating fluid to soak on that broken plug over night. I have friends that work at my local ford dealer and have never had to pull a head for a broken plug on a 3 valve. Just gotta be smart and patient
I'm pretty sure the dash would need to come out to clean the evap itself but I've never attempted it
I know detailers typically use an ozone machine to kill smells like that. Im sure they can be rented but I think that would depend on your area. I would try an ozone machine before pulling the dash
Get some rain guards and start leaving your windows cracked. Keep in mind that at 110° ambient its significantly hotter inside a vehicle and in wouldn't be surprised if it took 30 minutes to cool off to comfortable.
The Hylux is one of the fastest to warm up. Osram are the only ones that are faster from what I've seen. Which is why I run osram gen 3's. I promise you'll loves those ballasts and get years of work out of them
I'll bet you have a bulb seating issue. Sometimes they just don't seat in the housing correctly even though they feel and look like they do. Pull the headlight and light it up. Move the bulb in different directions and even try to twist a little. Diode always manages to get their capsules...
Keep in mind in the HID world Xenon is a very common name because its actually the gas thats burned within the HID capsule. Your OE stuff probably says that as identification not so much a brand. Chances are your looking at Osram products because 16 years ago they were one of the main suppliers...
