I was experiencing a few misses and hesitation at speed but as soon as I swapped in new autolite ht15's, the misses and hesitation disappeared...I would have changed coil packs if I still had any issues..
What I'm getting from this is that the coil packs can be swapped out...but, the spark plugs can't...the newer plug style will not work on the 2 piece head...
When was last time the plugs were changed...I just recently had what i thought was a gear hunting issue...only happens at speed, not from the git-go...thought it could be something to do with tranny or torque verter...after research I decided to swap new plugs in (coils would have been next to...
remember to follow tsb when changing plugs out...pre-spray with PB (or like) 15 min+ before change...I've read this before I did my plugs but figured they should come off like regular plugs and didn't spray...broke 2 and that's where I'm at now...even with the Lisle tool I cannot get them out...
thanks, I watched that over and over a few times...i have the lisle tool but i guess I have to screw it all the way til it bottoms out (the electrode pusher)...it just felt like as i'm pushing that it's actually pushing the whole plug deeper and possibly all the way thru and drop into...
after my attempt to change plugs...I do have the straight coil packs with the black boots and the plugs seem to be unique (and expensive)...the plugs were stuck on pretty good and i thought they were pretty warm when I started to work on them...I got 6 done when I got to the rear plugs on the...
you mentioned family...I've run Flows before and they were way too loud for a family vehicle. The quietest muffler that sounded muscular was a 5 x 11 x 22" Magnaflow...it's almost stealthy but has a muscular rumble at idle and ramps up as you lay into it...also, the 5 x 11 body eliminates the...
I'm experiencing some hesitation under load and through research it seems swapping in new coil packs and spark plugs will help with this. I bought a used 2008 with a 5.4. I'll confirm tonight when I pull 1 but does my motor have a curved coil pack or straight one... what spark plug? seems...
interesting...i saw this on another forum and the guy ended up reprogramming the maestro and unchecking the enable factory amp option...I'll check what I did and either do what he did or opposite of whatever setting is now...

thanks, yes, i do have the maestro and the harness you mentioned...on the hu i have turned on the sub as well as increased the signal...stupid question, hehe, where is the sub located so i can see if it is firing...
Hello All
I got a new Pioneer head unit with wiring harnesses and maestro from Crutchfield. They had easy to follow instructions and everything hooked up quickly, however, the stock sub doesn't work with it so I'm trying to figure out how to wire the head unit to the sub's amp for power...
ok, axle 15 is 3.31 and C is open diff... due to buy tires soon and probably go back to 255/70's to improve the gearing from what it probably is now with the bigger tires..( .5")
hello all, as I am interested in what works, I just bought a used 2008 Expedition XLT (2wd) with a 5.4 (haven't confirmed under the hood yet)..here is my vin info..can anyone tell me what axle i have?
in my experience in dealing with p0420's...it's almost always the after cat sensor, drivers side... since you are talking about a stumble while driving and that you just got it, I would do a tuneup on it...new plugs, clean tb/maf. If after that you still get code and stumbles, probably the...
