That's a good deal. I think it might be from a Harley Truck as the SC snout does not have "SVT" on it. Doesn't matter as it's the same engine, just an FYI.
Welcome! Does the noise happen when under acceleration, or whenever the wheels rotate regardless of gas pedal or not? If it's all the time, a bearing is very possible. If it's only under acceleration, differential is more likely.
After getting stuck last night since I needed a 15/16 deep socket for the broken plug extractor, I headed out to the auto parts store to get what I needed. Approximately 3 1/2 to 4 hours later, I am done. Nearly every wire/connector needed to be undone on the passneger side of the engine...
Well, not a good start to the plug change......first 2 broke!! I found out I need a deeper 15/16 socket to turn the extractor tool all the way, and since my wife is out and about tonight, I was unable to proceed any further.
I did soak the plugs with PB Blaster for an hour, but to no avail...
The only issues I have heard from using the Motorcraft plugs is the breakage issue when removing them. While most have seen no problems with using Champion, E3, Bosch, etc, these are the ones you see having intermittant problems with rough idle/misfire due to bad plugs. I have always heard...
My '06 isn't bad if I keep my foot in it. Towing 6000 lbs and I can't say I have had this problem, but my fuel mileage isn't the best either. lol. I do notice that if I have any hills to navigate that I do need to turn off the AC so it doesn't bog down, but that is the only time I have...
Any water get on the coils? If they get wet, and don't have a good seal over the spark plug, you can get multiple misses. Let it dry out and/or blow the water out and try again.
Is it all 4 wheels? Bad wheel bearings can also make the rims hot too, but I would think that would be just one or 2 wheels (All 4 going bad at once would be rare). Drive around for a bit without using any heavy braking and see if it continues. If so, I would check dragging brakes first, then...
Assuming a second gen from your user name, if you have the electric automatic temp control unit, it does take a few seconds for the electronics to boot up before it blows out the front vents. The rear blower starts up instantly.
The audio for the stock Overhead DVD runs through the head unit, then to the back of the center console, then back through the stereo. If you do not have the radio controls on the rear of the center console, OR the stock DVD player, you will be stuck with what you have unless the wiring is...
From what I have seen, a Scotch-Brite pad is what most people use to do this. (I saw Chip Foose do it on Overhaulin'.) Use as fine a pad as you can find to do it. You can always go heavier on the grit if needed, but once you do, it's hard to go backwards without some major elbow grease.
If you take a close look at the pic, there is a sticker on the side as it's For Sale. If I paint the Expy and the boat sells, then the vehicle would just be out of place. Plus, I didn't go to either Michigan or Marquette. lol
stoned06: July EOTM Submission
Thought of getting one at the launch this weekend, but once I got there I forgot. Oh well, this is the best I have right now.

I would guess the Summer heat without an intercooler is killing your power.
As far as a tuner in your neck of the woods, I don't know where in KY you are, but MD Motorsports in Alexandria KY (just south of Cincy) worked on my Harley truck and did a very nice job.
Bad idea as being in 4Hi for any length of time on DRY pavement as it could easily damage the 4x4 system. It really will not help with pulling a trailer either. I have to use 4Lo to get the boat out of the water, but as soon as it's out, back into 2wd it goes. Plus you'll burn through more...
