Have you tried using your cell phone's mobile hot-spot as the internet source for your Expy to do the updates? Double check in the settings that it is set to automatically check and update the Sync software when available.
Do you have auto start/stop? If you do, does it still work or very...
Good idea to add the catch can. My 2022 collects about 3-4 ounces every 5k miles (drain every oil change) and I'm at about 81k miles. It looks very similar to what you've got and is a mixture of oil, fuel and water. It smells like hell. Maybe give it a month and drain it again to see how much...
Have you done an oil change and taken the oil filter apart looking for sparkles? If it's not just at startup, it's probably not cam phasers (my brother is dealing with those, currently). If you're eating bearings, you're sending bearing material to the turbo filter which can plug that filter and...
That's good info! Matter of fact, now that you mention it, I was on an hour-long drive through the hills of Alabama, yesterday, and it never cut out, even through the deep woods. Interesting.
Beginning a couple of months ago my phone would start/unlock my car only about 25% of the time. Chalked it up to maybe a battery starting to fail as my other vehicles have about the same mileage (60+K miles) on OEM battery. Got new battery, not really any different. Now that the trees have grown...
2019 F150 Trans dumped at 1500 miles. Thankfully we were under warranty. Been fine ever since. Now at 75K. As someone said above, if it's paid for, replace the trans. You should be good after that.
I've started draining both cans at every oil change and there is still very little in the drivers side can. 90% of my driving is highway, so I don't think I'll catch as much as a daily local/hard driver. Been doing more looking: FordTechMakuloco on YouTube is showing that the newer Expy's/F150's...
I moved to the Expy from a Flex. It had 20" wheels with a more low profile tire, similar to the 22's on my Expy. I'd always found with the Flex that if I ran recommended pressure or a couple PSI lower I wore the shoulders quickly on the tires. Better ride but shortened tire life. If I ran them a...
I've got the Weathertech liner in my '22. I keep about 2200-300 pounds of gear in the back on it. About once a week I need to remove the gear and slide the mat back toward the second row before it gets completely curled up at the door. Anyone done any fixes for that?
My '10 F-150 got a new 10 speed tranny & cooler at 1500 miles under warranty. The second one is still clunky and unpredictable, but now has over 60K and doing fine. My '22 Expy 10 speed is as smooth as silk.
I just installed the Weathertech fronts and rears on my '22 Max. I can confirm that there is no drilling on the '22. Weathertech states no drilling on the '23 or '24 either. Been through some snow and ice and below freezing temperatures, lately, and these things seem plenty tough. I wouldn't go...
I read an article saying there could be viscosity errors in the reports because of the water and fuel mixed with the oil. I was concerned about the fuel smell, but more reading told me that's common. Makes sense since there is some blowby even with brand new engines.
I pulled the trigger and purchased and installed the 2023 RXP Ultimate Catch Can. After about 2K miles I decided to drain them to see what I got. My Expedition makes latte's. What drained out of the large can was milky just like a Frappuccino. It's definitely oil and water. The stench was...
I hated the chrome beltline on the stealth because it's all I see on the truck. Laying in bed one night I thought if all I could see was that beltline, then let's make it pop! I used 3M 2080 2" Hot Rod Red. Let me know what you think.
That seems low. My '22 gets about 21mpg at about 75mph (I do a LOT of interstate driving). When I'm home I get about 15mpg around town. You've owned this '21 for about a month, so I'm assuming you bought it used? Did the previous owner make any upgrades you may not know about?
My wife's F-150 sounds like your explorer. I turn it off within about 5 minutes because it gets too hot! If I remember, the F-150 did have a setting for heat, probably in the Body Control Module, but my wife did not want me to turn it down!! As far as the Expy goes, I love that it's not so...
Anyone having problem with front D&P windows one touch not working of below about 40F? Almost like the seal is too tight? Sometimes the driver's window will stop about 3/4" from the sill even if it's about 60F. Other times it works fine. Only 6000 miles, maybe the seals need to "stretch in"?
