How to use the aux button on factory radio?????

i will have to look around. i think walmart has something that i could pick up but i just wanted to see if there was a way to actually plug the ipod into the radio itself....well, i could always just burn a bunch of CD's and use the 6-disc changer! haha. that would be the cheapest (free) since i...

    37/12.5/17

tread looks rough. i dont think i am going to fit 37's on just my 4" lift without some serious modification to the wheel-wells like thermo did. something i am not ready to get into 8 weeks before my long ass trip...gonna have to wait on bigger rubber for a while. thanks for thinkin of me though...

i agree that i would prefer a 13.5 but you can make them look wider by putting in a spacer if you wanted. i like my tires wide, but sometimes you have to start cuttin stuff to make them fit! haha

big wheels=big smiles... but what about at the pump?

you also have to take the amount of rubber into account. if you buy 20's with rubber-band tires, it shouldnt affect your mileage too bad. but if you throw some meat on those 20's, you can expect single digits!

How to use the aux button on factory radio?????

yeah, but i am too cheap to buy a new deck right now. i want to save as much money as i can so i can spend it on the drivetrain first. you forget, i have a wife to answer to! hahah. i really just want to plug my ipod in for the 29 hour drive back to iowa so i dont have to keep swapping out the...

    decisions decisions

yeah, it is startin to look like its gonna be a lightning swap....we will wait and see what spring brings. not gonna start the build till i get out of the navy...

    decisions decisions

i would LOVE to do a diesel swap but that would take a whole lot of time, money, and fabrication. that may be a project later down the road. if i cannot find a bolt-on application for my rig, i will probably buy something else as my DD and just start tearing into this thing and "build the beast".

    Tire Chains

well if you only need them for inspection, i would just find a cheap ass set and throw them in the truck. not like they check to make sure they fit your tires...just a thought. thermo, i agree that SOME with lifted trucks know what they are doing, but here in SoCal where everybody lifts a...

    Fibreglass Fenders

like i said panda, to each his own. i know some of you desert boys dont like our mud runner setups but thats okay too. every rig/driver has their own purpose. i just think the prerunner looks funny on a full-bodied vehicle like an SUV. trucks not so bad (some i even like) but just cant bite on...

    Lightning motor

i think i agree with you Drew! the longblock is cheaper than just the SC that i wanted to buy! and it comes with everything you need. now, TQ coverter...i have been reading up a little and for truck pulls and whatnot, i would want something higher right? in order to meet with the engine's peak...

    Fibreglass Fenders

wide fenders may not be practical if you drive down narrow roads like two-tracks or such. gonna break some stuff for sure.

    Fibreglass Fenders

i just dont like the way it looks. but i am used to the traditional lift/big tires combo where i am from. we are mud runners, not desert. i like the aggressive look of lift/tires that i do not think desert setups accomplish, at least IMO. but, to each his/her own.

    Lightning motor

wow, that place is AMAZING! if i only knew enough about engines to begin the build myself, i would def buy from them. that is why i have been looking for a bolt-on SC for my expy. i found a used eaton from a guy with an 01 expy that i might pick up from him. he said it comes with everything for...

    Well

gentlemen, you are correct. i was not looking at the rs500. thought the HP looked pretty low for such a badass little car! my apologies everybody. the stats i gave you are for the US version, i.e. girly! hahah (that is sad cuz it used to be american muscle that ruled the streets)

    Lightning motor

i dont believe so. i think he will have to swap it out with a lightning ECU, but i might be able to put him in touch with someone that might be able to get one at a reasonable price! i did not know you already had a lightning. regardless of how you look at it, it is expensive, but you have...

    Well

according to car and driver, here are the stats: 2.0 I4 160 SAE HP (6500 RPM) 146 SAE TQ (4500 RPM) Fuel Mileage: 26/36 (avg 30) Weight: 2889 lbs Price: 18k-24k

    Well

it appears to be a very quick little focus, much more so than the SVT (which i always make fun of. just something about a focus SVT that makes me chuckle...)

    Lightning motor

it will hold up, for a little while. you are going to have to replace it eventually. i planned on doing the swap as well but i think it is very expensive. might have to get some numbers from Tom and Kent. BowDown i believe did the swap in a Gen2. The motor is pretty much a drop in so it makes it...

    Fibreglass Fenders

i will agree with all of that Max! i guess i should clarify, i am not against them in certain applications when done right. but they have no place on an SUV, especially one as large as ours

feels like i get kicked in the rear

maybe you have plugs that need to be changed, and what you are feeling is the engine not performing at its best. mine is currently at that stage! haha
