If you have a laptop I would download the ForScan app and get familiar with it. You can read all DTC codes on any reporting module and program your own keys, even if you start from scratch. You can read your security module, get the door keypad code if you don't have it, etc ...

Welcome to the new world order ....
You can download a .pdf version of the owners manual to your phone or tablet and read it there.

Yeah. If you want to fix it permanently you'll have to replace the valve cover gaskets. Don't over torque the bolts. They have shoulders and they won't squeeze down on the gasket any further.

You can try the hard reset, or disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting, just to reset everything. Sounds like they're talking about the Sync module being faulty. You can get a refurbed unit from online suppliers and do it yourself if you have any skill at all. Tell them your...
Are you not the original owner of the Expy ? Ford started putting AGM batteries in all trucks in 2011. So your Expy is most likely already expecting an AGM battery to be there. Or you can use ForScan to look at the BCM module and see what it has selected for battery type. It'll say either AGM...
Didn't the mirrors come with some kind of instructions or wiring diagram ?
Here's the wiring diagram for your Expy if that'll help.

You did both head gaskets right ? it should've fired up when you sprayed starter fluid in the throttle body. If you had it up on ramps when you were doing your work, check the fuel pump inertia switch back there in the left rear quarter panel pocket. Make sure the little red plunger on top is...
How 'bout just putting a stainless ball valve there in that line where your blue arrow is ? You'll probably never open it, but if you need to you can.
That way no extra vacuum plumbing is needed and it looks clean. Maybe you're on to something? Let us know how it works out.
5/8" Stainless...
Yeah, like Bronco said. Go look on Rock Auto at the Anchor 3150 & 3151 mounts to give you an idea. Maybe you've got the hardware laying in a bucket somewhere. The long thru-bolt is usually a 14mm and the shorter ones are 10mm . You might be able to find them at a salvage yard or fastener supply...
Yes, the rear heater hoses are free flowing hot water. Temperature is just regulated with a blend door back there. It's just the way they engineered it. When you have it in the cold air position it's just recirculating cabin air, not outside air. When you ask for warmer air it starts to open the...
Should be your front axle vent tube. Just zip tie it secure to the brake line there. You just don't want it to get submerged in water if you go through a deep puddle or something. You can follow it down to the other end and it should be attached to a nipple on the front axle.
If you do end up pulling the intake manifold off, make sure to remove the crossflow off the front of the intake and check for de-lamination of the mating surface, and install a new set of gaskets as well. Very common to leak from that crossflow mating surface, and into the valley, and out the...
I wish I could go back and edit my old posts. But here's an updated link to the service manuals I had in the first post.

Have an independent mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection on the Expy if you're serious about it. Specifically the motor and drivetrain, as well as the overall vehicle. It's 8-9 years old, so there's likely to be issues ( rust, electrical, A/C ...), and you don't want to be surprised a month...
The Navi DATC test is the same.
Key - ON / AC - OFF
Push the OFF and FLOOR buttons simultaneously / Release and push the AUTO button within 2 seconds of release.
Let head unit run through it's test ( 30 sec ) .
Note code displayed ( B-code ).
If no faults all digits will illuminate. Press...
No, looks like your fuel pressure is fine. With the motor running you can pull the red vacuum line off the fuel rail pressure dampener and see if you notice any difference in idle quality or short term fuel trim. The actual fuel pressure regulator is part of the fuel pump assembly. That thing on...
How many miles on it ? Is it setting any codes at all ? Fuel pressure ?
Did they look at the VVT solenoids and cam timing at all with the IDS software ?
Do you have a multimeter ? What kind of voltage do you see across the battery with the engine running ? Should see around 14v DC . Do you know how to do an amp draw test on the system ?
