Same problem, tried swapping all components from the passenger side to the driver side, and could not get it to work. There is a TSB out there to reprogram the controller that I need to get done by the Dealer, I'll let you know if it works.
Anyone else have a window that just gives three lines of effort (top, middle, bottom)? Any fix other than replacing the whole rear window? I know there is the special finger nail polish that connects breaks in the lines, but I really don't see any of those.
Finally got to look at this, all wire color codes for a 2003 EB w/ Nav are the same as the picture pinout I previously posted. Have fun, Milkman!
Tanikir, I used 18 AWG 4 conductor speaker wire to keep things clean.
Make sure you have a stereo jack, not a mono (stereo has three solder points). A stereo jack is configured to accept the Tip/Ring/Sleeve (TRS) male plug from the iPod, etc. TRS carries Left +, Right +, and ground in that order. This should correspond to solder points labeled 1, 2, 3 on the...

Get your MD tags quick and get rid of that God-awful blemish on the front bumper!
I suggest a nice vanity tag, something like 'RG3 4ME' !
Oh, and welcome!
Prior to doing this very repair, I had done maybe 4 sets of drum brakes in my life. Tony's 'see one, do one' method is what I used. Took longer than Midas, and there were some geometry issues caused by the axle, but overall not too tough.
Sounds about right with the book of receipts and new tires.
If it were me, another pressed for time DIY'er, I'd not worry about surface rust as it should not get worse in the southwest. New headlamps are under $50 on eBay and take no more than 15 minutes to swap out. Put KYB shocks on mine...
Did the same thing recently to my rig. Glad I found a 7-pin plug on an Expy at the junk yard right off the bat, would have been pissed when I got home if I pulled one off an F-150! As it was I was pissed that I did not have the 12v power relay for the breakaway battery, had to spend money at...
My personal opinion is if the boot has broken then water might have done some damage to the grease, twenty bucks more gets you a reman'd half shaft with at least a 3yr/36k warranty, sometimes lifetime.
