Maybe the roads here are oily from it not raining often (my expedition has never seen snow or ice).. or maybe my expectations are just too high for this big SUV.
I also have the terra grapplers and they are very quiet and wear well with my agressive driving (I think I have 40k miles so far). My only complaint is they don't seem to have good traction on wet roads... what do you think bartman?
Wow that's impressive and inspiring, you are now the new winner of the mile contest. I had to replace my a/c compressor around 60k miles so you should feel good that yours lasted that long, although mine was only leaking internally. Since you have so many miles on the original engine, I have to...
I don't know what brand they were, I just told a shop I wanted ceramic pads put in and they gave me what they had. I think any quality ceramic pad you get (like Hawk) will last over 100,000 miles.
I finally got a chance to use this stuff after it sat in my garage for about 8 months and this is what I though about it:
It did add some shine but not as much as most other products. I give it a 6 out of 10 in this category.
It was super easy to apply and take off, and can be done in direct...
I would say it's a personal choice... if you are on a tight budget then spending the money wouldn't be worth it, but if you have the money to spend it will result in a slight improvement. It's sort of like how some exhaust mufflers will actually decrease your top end performance, but people...
I garuntee you that if you pay under $3g's for a paint job it's not going to last more then 2 years without fading or peeling. Personally I wouldn't pay under $5g's. If you can't afford it then it's best to just not get it painted. The only reason to get one of those cheap paint jobs is if you...
Just a word of caution... your going to spend a lot of money on those mods and not see much of an increase. Even if you get up to the power that the 5.4 has... the 5.4 is still sllllow. It's impossible to make these things fast without a supercharger... instead of power I went down the road of...
Uh oh... it has been 6 months since I posted that I was going to try out this Ice Wax and still havn't... that means my ride is insanely over due for a waxing. I'm going to get it done within the next week and will post pics of results.
Rubbing alcohol is what is in the expo markers that takes the sharpie out so straight alcohol will work best but it might dull the paint. Like someone said, I would try a magic eraser or clay bar first. It didn't scratch in past the clear coat so it should be removable.
With a 325/60/18 wide tire I would recommend a 9 inch wide rim. This tire/wheel combo will only fit once you're lifted. This tire will not fit on a 7.5" rim at all, and would just barely fit a 8.5" rim if it does fit.
I find it interesting that your air box mod worked since although you made it capable of taking in more air, it's taking in the hot engine air instead of cold air from outside. Since it's taking in hot air instead of the cold air, I would say theoretically it wouldn't result in an improvement...
I always thought the phone icon was there because you press the button to mute the volume when you're on the phone. When I bought my 03 the sales person didn't say anything about connecting to your actual phone so I doubt that it does.
How low are you trying to go? Anything lower then the eibach springs and you're going to have to spend a lot more money on other problems that will arise from lowering that low. Eibach is the best lowering spring brand out there, and you can always cut a coil off if you want just a little bit...
Well as my sig says it does have a custome tune... maybe I'll have to talk to Matt about it.. it's too bad he doesn't visit this forum anymore (probably due to all the bugs the site had/has)
Yeah just paint it with Krylon. I didn't even take mine out to paint it.. I just put some cardboard behind it and used some tape and plastic to cover closeby areas. Cost less then $10 and looks much better.
Looks like there's not much point to having the limiter removed... I can only get up to about 107mph. I think it's the engine that is too weak to make it go faster because it wasn't hitting the rpm limiter which is what makes most cars keep from going faster.
