I had the same experience with my 2016 Expedition - The fan worked great, Ford performed the recall service and now my passenger has to wiggle the wire under the dash about every two weeks to get it going again. Great job Ford! I have noticed that Advance Auto offers a resistor/connector/stub cable replacement. Must be a common issue that Ford can't correct. I went in today for the Backup camera "inspection" and was told it would take 3 hours minimum. The camera has never failed to work, and all I wanted them to do was a visual inspection, close the Recall, and open the Customer Satisfation Program 25N15. They refused, so I walked out. I'll see if I can find another dealer that is more customer focused and less focused on the profit from replacing good components.

The dealer replaced the rear view camera on my 2015 Expedition (under terms of my Ford ESP).

I attached the printed photo of the various error screens and taped them to a piece of paper - and taped it to the dash for the mechanic with a polite note.

The service advisor said at the time of repair, the backup camera was working - but the mechanic replaced the camera because I included printed photos of the various defective screens.



As a long-term follow up to this issue: I paid $100 + tax under terms of my Ford ESP for the rear camera repair.

Later, I got rid of my Expedition and Ford recalled the vehicle for the rearview camera.

Following instructions on the recall notice, I submitted a written request for reimbursement of the $100 + tax I spent on the repair, and included the original dealer service invoice. The recall notice stated to allow up to 90 days for reimbursement.

After five months, I received a refund check from Ford for the $100 + tax.
