    Ford Expedition reliability

I don't agree with that because most people don't bother fixing non-mechanical problems since they are usually expensive and not necessary to operate the vehicle. Also, there are many cars with engine/transmision problems before 100,000 miles (I could give examples, but the proof is on your own...

    Ford Expedition reliability

These results aren't really accurate because they don't account for people that don't perform scheduled maintenance. When people don't perform scheduled maintence, things break down more and it makes the truck look less reliable then it really is. I have performed all the schedule maintenance on...

    --Best tires--

On my ride I've had the stock Continental's - they were quiet and lasted about 30,000 miles but traction wasn't that good bf goodrich all terrain - I bought these used, traction was good, low noise Nitto Terra Grapplers - they seem to last well, no noise, smooth, and great dry traction, but I...

How Many People Still Visit This Site ? Post Up Here !

Just recently this forum started working properly, and before that for years there were functions that didn't work, and when the site got hacked it made it even worse. This contributed to the site having no activity, and now that the forum functions properly there has been a slight increase in...

    Expy's with high milage

It all depends on how the truck has been maintained. If it has been well maintained then it should have no problem lasting over 200,000 miles. I have an 03 with the 5.4 and I expect it to last until about 250,000 miles, so far I'm at 120,000 without replacing anything but what's recommended in...

Why it's good to have a truck in a wreck...

I was on the freeway in traffic and some guy rear ended me as traffic was coming to a stop... I felt just a tiny bump and we both pulled over. He was driving some japanese coupe, maybe an acura, and on his car a bunch of paint had come off the front and his hood was folded up. On my expedition...

    ice wax?

I bought some ice wax a few months ago, but havn't got around to using it yet... I probaby will with in a week though. There were 2 major reasons why I bought it: First, it says you can put it on in direct sunlight and heat and will still work just as well. Second, it says it will improve the...

I finally got my rotors and pads installed after they had been sitting in my house for 2 months. I got them from buybrakes.com where you can use the coupon code 08010 to get $10 off and they have free shipping on orders over $100. I got the Powerstop drilled rotors and the Hawk ceramic pads...

Aftermarket Anti-Sway Bars - Hellwig and Belltech from stillen.com

gto78- I don't know why it had those affects on your Z, but with the Expedition it's not like that at all. After I installed my sway bars I only noticed positive affects, which is why I think they're such a great upgrade. When driving in a straight line it does feel tighter and like you're more...

    Adding a Keyless Entry Keypad?

Dang that sucks your expedition didn't come with a keypad, I always thought it was standard. They are definitely awesome to have. I copied this from another site: http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/fas/b2c/catalog.asp The Ford Genuine Accessories website now has keyless entry keypads for...

    2010 xp rumors...

I hope it wasn't dropped by Ford... a few years ago there were plans to fit the expedition with a 6.2L V8 in 2010, but after the high gas prices that idea got dropped. Ford definitely needs to come out with an optional high powered engine for the Expedition.

This is so sad, of course only something this stupid could be a government funded program

    Tires/rims

They will fit fine, you might have some slight tire rub if you are making a turn with the wheel cranked all the way to one side and are on an incline... normal driving shouldn't have any issues though, but that is the max tire size without doing any adjusting.

    Probably a stupid question

That's a good point... not only will the carpet smell, but exhaust leaking in to the cabin area can cause health issues as well.

    Probably a stupid question

I would guess that depending on how bad the leak is, it probably doesn't affect it much more then 10hp. Even in top shape the 5.4L is still pretty weak in acceleration... but the thing weighs 6,000+lbs so you can't expect much.

Turn an XLT into a eddie bauer?

The only reason you should try converting an XLT to an EB is if you are in love with your truck and don't want to sell it. It is going to be much more expensive to do the conversion then it would be to sell the XLT and buy the same year EB.

Bone stock- Looks new! 2003 Expy

Nice expedition... spend about $30 on Krylon Fusion paint and take 4 hours of your time to paint the lower cladding and it will look like new.

Aftermarket Anti-Sway Bars - Hellwig and Belltech from stillen.com

The main thing to look at is the bar thickness. The Hotchkis bar is the same thickness as the Hellwig I got for my front, and their rear is even a little thicker then the Belltech. I think the reason the Hotchkis are more expensive is because they have adjustable end link mounts (and a thicker...

Aftermarket Anti-Sway Bars - Hellwig and Belltech from stillen.com

Yes, I was charged an hours time for each, I don't know how long it actually took the mechanic though. The bars also come with polyurethane bushing that will last forever, the rubber bushings that came out with the old bars were all cracked and starting to disintegrate.

    5.4l vct

I will probably give this stuff a try... I have the 2003 5.4L. I plan on keeping my truck pretty much forever and it's already at 115k(with no problems yet), so I am looking for options to improve engine life.

    Kit Scratch Out

Be especially careful if you have a black expedition... I have found some of those scratch removers actually put more scratches on my expedition. Clay bar kits (I use the one by Mothers) do wonders, but you have to be extremely careful to keep changing to a clean part of your wipe up rag or else...

Aftermarket Anti-Sway Bars - Hellwig and Belltech from stillen.com

We all know that the expedition isn't the best at handling with its high center of gravity. Without lowering the truck, there aren't many options to improve the handling, especially without reducing ride quality. Anti-Sway Bars are a great option for improving handling without reducing height or...
