x2. I heard LPG conversions are really popular in Europe, especially with cab drivers, because LPG is really cheap to run. There's a LPG filling station in many gas stations.
On our continent it's mostly fleet vehicles that use LPG because there are not that many filling stations. A conversion...
Hey bedrock. Does this reset procedure work on older expys as well?
I have a 2004 and I did the stupid thing of trying to open the roof while it was -20 outside. Guess there was some strain on the motor or mechanism and now the rear of the glass tilts higher on one side and the motor keeps...
Wow, Stephen, you got a hell of a deal on that Expy!! Under $1500 for a well running 2003... Damn! You'd be hard pressed to even find pre-2000 Expys in good working condition at that price.
That's gonna set you back about $600. There's a pretty good train horns forum out there. You can find lots of info and if i remember well there was also a classifieds section where you might find a K5LA for sale.

Here are mine, Wolo 847 "Siberian Express":

They're not actual metal train horns, but plastic clones. But they're big as hell (the longest of the three is 2 ft long) and they're loud and scare the shit out of you. I was too cheap to buy an on-board...
One of my colleagues received an email from a customer in December that said something like: "Sorry for responding a bit late, but we had one inch of snow over here (somewhere in Virginia) and the whole city was paralyzed. My office closed and I didn't go to work yesterday."
I told my colleague...
I rolled it down in neutral almost to the end of the driveway, but I still need about two more feet of space to back the civic out of my tight single width garage and around the truck.
I actually managed to open the hood in a matter of seconds using a thin metal rod. Hope no thief ever tries...
I tried starting it today after 2 days of sitting in -10F weather and no dice. Then I tried opening the hood to plug in the engine heater and to take out the battery, but no chance of that either. The hood latch is frozen shut.
Now I'm googleing for ways of jimmying the hood latch :)
On top of...
Managed to break the sunroof mechanism. I had the stupid idea of opening it this morning (it's close to zero degrees F over here) and I guess there must have been some ice somewhere and something popped off or broke on the passenger side mechanism. So now the rear of the glass lifts higher on...
Is your ABS ok? Auto 4WD works in RWD until it detects loss of traction to the rear and then it engages the front. It uses the rear ABS speed sensor to detect loss of traction. I had auto 4WD issues as well when the rear speed sensor on my 2004 expy crapped out. Might be worth testing that your...
Oh, I just noticed you are in Saudi Arabia. Not sure if PlastiDip is sold over there.
Here's the Amazon link for it. It's $6.50 a can, but I'm not sure they ship it internationally: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000LNOOEO/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?qid=1388501912&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70
As far as...
I'll be doing mine with matte black PlastiDip. That way I don't need to sand or add adhesion promoter and I probably won't need to tape over anything either, as PD is real easy to remove if it gets on the headlights, hood, etc.
PD is $5 a can at Home Depot (in the US) or $20 at Canadian Tire...
Hey Anders, you can have some of my snow :)
We've got crazy amounts here over the past 2 weeks. Over 3 feet. I've never had to shovel so much before Christmas in previous years. And it's not soft snow. It's frozen crap that's hard to shovel away.
Thank god for the Expy! My Civic is hopelessly...
Can't beat snow tires. The rubber is a different formula that doesn't harden as much at low temps, so the tread stays flexible and provides better grip.
Replaced the front (winter) tires with new ones, as they were very unevenly worn. Did it just in time before we had a major snowstorm here in Montreal (~15 inches).
Guess it's time to take her in for an alignment. I don't wanna ruin these two tires too.
Had the exact same issue last year. No crank, just a click. Most times, if i left it alone for 30 minutes or so, it would start. I thought it was the relay, but it turned out that it was the battery. I replaced it and never had that issue again.
