    Logging off the Expy forum...

Yeah, I wanted to get into something bigger since we are having our 3rd kid. The only problem that I ran into was the value of the Expedition. Used car values are horrible right now. You see, everytime Ford offers up something like "0%", employee pricing, or ridiculous rebates, it kills the...

    Opinions on new 18" Boots

When it was time to replace the tires at 50K, I realized they were about $135 each for the 17". After searching on ebay, I found some OEM 18" tires and rim take offs with 5 miles on them for $450. They had about 10 sets from where the dealer had taken them off and put the 22's on. Give them a...

    stock sub help

No, not all 99's come with the sub. If you had one, it would be in the rear quarter panel (passenger side I believe). It has a waffle grille like opening, so you'd know if you did. The back of the sub should have the impedence listed, or if not, get an audio shop to test it with an ohm meter.

    Replacing Door Speakers

LVExpo, all you need is an adapter that is like $10. You can buy them from any audio store usually or online. Check here Fits vehicles with 6"x8" or 5"x7" factory speakers PICTURE HERE

    Replacing Door Speakers

The 6 x 9's will not fit unless you modify the opening. I tried some Kappa's that didn't sit in right and caused an obstruction from the door panel being flush.

    Good buy..and navigation radio question?

Since I have gotten out of the auto underwriting business, I haven't seen an invoice on any vehicle in about a year. I would just ask to pay invoice BEFORE rebates. With holdback, they'll still make $1500, but they still might not budge. It appears that you are close to that on the first one...

Speaker wiring on a '97 Expy XLT

Ah, do you have rear radio controls as well? If so, that's probably some of the other wires. Sorry, just remembered that. No worries though, just continue with my above suggestions.

Speaker wiring on a '97 Expy XLT

Yeah, forget about the amplifier, it would take some work to get the harness back on if you've already cut it and it won't sound much better. The internal amp in your new Pioneer is probably better than the factory one. I would suggest running new wire to the factory locations. My other...

    Radio ?

The same thing was happening on my friends Lexus for the decoding. The dealer fixed it by simply disconnecting the ground terminal on the battery for a couple of minutes then reconnecting it.

Speaker wiring on a '97 Expy XLT

The reason is that the harness you are speaking of probably goes to a factory amplifier that is in the rear passenger quarter panel. At least that's the case with the 10 or so Explorers that I've installed the radio in for that. The speaker leads are back there and you'll have to run the leads...

    lowering springs

Stock springs do have some "Dead" springs that can be cut to lower the truck without compromising the ride quality, but I wouldn't recommend it. You have to be precise, and after experimenting on my civics with this, it's better just to get aftermarket springs AND shocks. You'll generally blow...

    radio power

The only thing I can think of is a bad connection. Test the factory harness for power where it would connect to the deck. Then test the harness that goes into the deck. I'm at a lost why it would not work after installing the thunderform though.

    radio power

"Constant" Power is not determined by the key position, but is always receiving 12V (actually 11-14). As for the fuse, I only have a couple of suggestions... 1) Check under the hood, there may be an additonal fuse box. 2) Check the fuse that is connected to the constant wire that came...
