From working in a dealership, yes it is normal for them to want to rip you off. With the exception of porters and secretaries, everyone else is paid commission. Look in your maintainence manual for 30k, all of the services should come out to about $100. Run, real fast from them.
Thanks Scott, .47 of an inch won't be an issue. I think I'm going to go ahead with the ebay thing, found another link for the 18's for $500 with BF Goodrich Rugged Trail's.
That is some nice work, but takes a lot of skill fiberglassing it to be that neat. I'm suprised that someone at Car Toys is that talented. LOOKS GREAT!
I frequent the board daily, but haven't heard of that. Just by the description, sounds like a bad starter or possibly a low battery. It appears to be turning over, but who knows? I think that the dealer will take care of it. Like everything else in the car business, you make a big enough deal...
I didn't realize that decent replacement tires are $125 + mounting and balancing for my '03 XLT. A whopping $600 after tax for some freakin tires. This got me thinking to check EBAY. Well come to find out, you can get the OEM wheels + tires as NEW take offs for $200 less than just new tires! I...
Good to have you on the forum Mando. Through much internal debate, I decided not to go with the K& N because the gain is very minimal with the detriments outweighing it. Even on my civic board, I've heard some complaints with engine noise, bad seals, and even decreased HP. I'd say the 2-4 HP is...
$145? Who did you use? I had a star chip happen last week and SafeLite came out and fixed it. The insurance (Allstate) has a $0 deductible policy on that, but for for a replacement it's $250. My civic has a crack all the way down the bottom, and I want to get it fixed cheap like $145. Let me...
Hmm, I only have #1. Yes, just get used to it or get some different brake pads. There was a post awhile back that someone made claiming to eliminate most of the breakdust.
The Turbonator has been tested on several civics from my other timewaster www.7thgencivic.com
None of the dyno tests showed gains, just a decrease in HP. It did however increase gas mileage because of what was deemed to be restrictive airflow.
Remember the Tornado, it's up the same alley...
Unfortunately, if you have a Sirius account, you have to still pay and activate the one for the factory radio. Your account is paid for the ESN of the individual unit. Fortunately, there is a discount for additional receivers. Other than that, I would suggest reading the manual since most of us...
I ended up fixing it myself by removing the entire bumper (really easy!), heating the area, and knocking it out by hand. It took some time to shape, but it looks okay. The only noticible thing is that the clear coat took some damage and became a little discolored, but I'm satisfied with it. I'll...
It's actually not that bad, she backed up into a fence post and did some damage to the rear passanger quarter panel. Actaully it's the piece right above the bumper that wraps from the wheel well to the hatch opening and is only 5" x 18". I don't want to take it to a body shop, I got quotes...
Your door removal is super easy on that generation of Expedition. Here is a complete tutorial with pictures:

It looks nice. My only question is..........Isn't there any other way to get the antenna wire to where the hidden antenna is? Using the door jamb reminds me of when the local homies would run a power wire from the battery to the amplifier and wonder why it would always short out.
I'm sure that there is a reset button somewhere on the changer that will clear all the discs and allow you to eject it. Keep looking for the manual on the sites posted on the other thread and I think it will detail where it is.
Yes, I have a crappy "free" phone as well. I didn't want to pay another c note for a phone that is only a little better. They work okay, but they are starting to look outdated.
