Thank you for keeping us updated!
Its interesting they targeted builds until April of 19. I was under the impression the new parts were available (maybe to service depts?) in October. That or the phasers are different from the VCTs themselves?
Yeah...
Asking Apple to turn itself off to use a Microsoft product!? How dare you! haha...
I'm no coder but I'm pretty sure there are permission things/restrictions happening there that prevent them from truly talking to each other. The only information I have seen shared in any vehicle so...
I haven't had an insurance card in a vehicle for 5 years or so... went digital. Other people rarely drive my car but if needed I can always text or email it to them. Registration is a tougher one. The Audi has a special cubby for the manual to the left of the steering wheel that isn't really...
We have to realize we are a small group of car nerds that use our trucks more than most people and have a much higher tolerance for stiffness. Mostly due to the fact that we know the pluses of slightly stiffer suspension. Most people want to be as numb as possible in their driving experience...
Do you use Google Assistant or Siri ever?
If you use AndroidAuto or AppleCarPlay the phone assistant becomes the default voice service in the car. The google voice assist is SOOOO much better than all of them but especially anything a car company could ever come up with. I can even yell at my...
@edizzle
I grew up in Asheville and worked in Lake Lure and know a few people up there in Cashiers. I know exactly what you mean about wear too. 74a was 130 turns in 8 miles up and over a mountain with not a single car passed (on the way to work at least). I always went with sporty tires...
Now you are onto something...
Redoing factory badges in different colors is totally different than fake packages that don't exist. We can blame the BMW people for ruining that tradition...
Finally got a chance to spend some time with the Roku and it does really well with the built in Wifi. I just read it will function as a cast device so you can cast from any device on the network and control with your phone. Hopefully Lincoln's built in wifi firewall will play nice. I will...
That the dual port injection will force into the combustion chamber instead of attach to the valves...
You are not wrong, but the engine is now designed to handle it and the fuel systems are more robust so we all win there.
Flat towing an F250 is hilarious looking... Haha
Luckily my weight requirements quite low. I will somebe mounting some hollow aluminum tubing, a spring loaded arm, stabilized gimbal and a camera. Couple hundred lbs on the worst day. That is great to know a out the swappable mounts...
@bushpilot
You are literally the first person to ever tell me that... I'm 6ft8 so usually I'm fielding Basketball questions and asking why they don't play miniature golf.
@Diverdown
I sure hope it's easy to keep clean.
If you guys were going to dechrome what color would you do? Matte...
@bushpilot
You are the MAN. Definitely different price point... but still bolt on, stout, removable and they fit the Navi and Expi! I was originally thinking I was going to have to do a custom front hitch but this is so much better. Don't have to move the intercooler or anything!
You...
@bushpilot
I promised myself I wouldn't get another black vehicle before my last one. I guess the saying is true... :smoke2:
It sure does clean up well though... Happy Friday everyone!
I would hands down go powder coat for wheels...
But for sake of the conversation, with proper prep I got over 40k of not easy miles on a coat of plastidip. The wheels were powder coated gunmetal grey and I dipped the spokes matte black. Took it to the brush carwashes and all. Mind you it was...
I'd take it to the dealer and ask for an update... There were a stretch of 2020 Navis that didn't have the option on sync as well. At one point all three they had on the lot were missing it. Have heard an update solves it. My newer build has the option so it makes sense.
Not much has changed... but I honestly haven't spent a ton of time messing with it yet. We are on a trip now but the rear seats are folded for the dogs. I'll have a lot of time this week to dig in.
No screen sharing up front. Play pause will be easy at least...
Huge thank you to everyone who complained!
Haha,
Rse on the Navi now comes with a mini Roku that attaches behind the driver screen and has a bracket that keeps everything tidy. So not only can you stream easily without using your phone etc it uses an RF remote so you can control from the...
