The cowl covers are cool in concept, but are a bit too big looking in my opinion. Plus, like alaska said, I can imagine it in the winter.
I love the tail lights. I've always wanted those on my truck.
I've discovered my rocker panels are rusting through completely from the inside out. Anyone with some experience, please advise.
I can't locate any rust repair panels for the expeditions. Anybody know of any?
If they don't exist, I know they can be custom cut/bent out of sheet metal...
More progress today. Pulled the running boards off. Truck looks so much taller now. I like the look, but doubt it will stay that way for several reasons -- such as practicality and the fact that they hide rockers.
Majority of the rockers only had some bubbling and surface rust which was...
I made some progress on this project over this long weekend. So far, I have completed the inner-bottoms of all four doors. I sanded all the rust out with a wire brush and an angle grinder--some of it was really, really bad. I got down to bare metal in most spots, but I'm worried about any...
Alright, I think I'm going to tackle this project this weekend. Here is the plan...
Remove running boards (temporarily)
Sand rust spots on rockers/doors to bare metal
Clean/Prep Metal
Mask off area to be painted
Prime Metal
Apply Rustoleum Bedliner (rattle can) to rockers and bottom of...
I agree! Also, no bias whatsoever...
And of course, welcome aboard!

I really like my Definity Dakota ATs from Pepboys. They were really cheap and I can't complain about them in any aspect. I've had them a couple years now and I would definitely buy them again.
I don't care too much if it fades over time, strength and durability are my prime concern. What do you guys think are the top 3 brands in that respect? Also does application method matter all that much (roll/brush, spray)?
I'm considering applying bedliner to my rocker panels and the bottom of the doors to help ward off rust before I have to deal with another harsh winter here in New England.
I know people here have used DIY bedliner before, so please provide me your insights.
What I'd like to here:
Brands...
I've got about 10 or so single LEDs for sale. They are BLUE, have built in resistors, and are wired with 8" leads. Just tap them into 12V power and they are ready to go. I used to have them wired under my dash and seats...always got a ton of compliments. Let me know if anybody wants them for...
For what its worth...I like the way your truck looks now. But if you like the look of the navigator bumper, maybe you should consider a street scene bumper cover.
Looks awesome! Please keep the pics coming! I'm really interested to see the end product.
I've been toying with the idea of doing a conversion just like this (OEM style housings and a morimoto bi-xenon kit) for quite some time...it just isn't on the top of the to do list...maybe someday!
