    Simple tips

When I park, I put it into P, keep my foot on the brake and put on the parking brake firmly at the same time. This makes it so it doesn't roll that inch or two after you take the foot off the break. When it rolls like that, thats when all the pressure gets put on that pin. Keep the pressure...

    How is this amp?

Boss is flea market junk...I'm not saying it wouldn't work for you, but your money would be better spent elsewhere (especially if you end up wanting to upgrade down the road; which is almost always the case). Also, that amp is only 125 watts rms per channel at 4 ohm...I'd get something...

Let's see your X at it's Dirtiest or Snowiest!!!!

Good thing I looked through what yall posted before I put anything up...judging by the title, I thought I was supposed to put up dirty pictures of my ex (as in girlfriend or wife). Hmm...maybe we should start another thread for that...I guess I'll just have to save them for that thread...

    Front Grille

I'm doing this from memory...so I'm bound to miss a couple steps. But this should get you started and I'm sure you can figure out the rest. Pop the hood. Unscrew and remove the black plastic cowl that covers the radiator. Remove the screws that are on the now exposed part of the top of the...

    Hello from Ohio

No way in hell is that possible. I have a 2000 w/5.4L and A4WD...I've never seen better than 13 MPG...I usually average around 10 and I'm not one to drive fast either.

    Best Oil

Just use regular (non-synthetic) oil in the weight recommended by Ford. Just make sure the oil has symbols on the bottle showing it meets SAE and API standards (which pretty much everything should). Don't waste your money on the more expensive stuff...you are just paying for marketing.

    what's up with these headlights

The reflector uses the regular 9007 bulb for lows/highs. The projector uses a separate 35w halogen bulb that you could run on a separate circuit like foglights.

    How many watts?

I know what your asking, but you didn't really give us enough answer. Quick answer would be yeah, that is probably enough watts. If you want a good answer, give me the model numbers on the subs and amp. Also tell me how much room you have for a box. If you do that, I can give you a much...

    Opinions on this vertical grill?

I think it looks good, but I like this black vertical grille better (it is a bit less gaudy): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00-01-02-03-FORD-F150-PICKUP-BLACK-VERTICAL-GRILLE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2eb54e6feaQQitemZ200610312170QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories I had a...

285/70/17 is probably the widest you can go without rubbing if you are using those stock wheels, no lift, and no trimming.

If you buy them, let us know what you think of them. I'm sure a lot of us with first gen trucks are due for replacements.

    Speedometer Calibration

His truck is stock and has 16" wheels. If the tires are factory spec, they are 255/70/16 (which is about 30"). 285/75/16 is about 33". Add 10% to the displayed speed and you are done... 30 mph is 33 60 mph is 66 70 mph is 77....etc...etc I think that is easy enough to remember...

I'm running the same size tire. Unless you want a programmer for other purposes, I wouldn't bother. It is easy enough to remember to add 10%...

I've got a set of Definity Dakota AT on my truck. They are only sold through Pepboys but are made by Cooper. I love them and they are a real bargain. No complaints from me.
