I am looking at a new expedition EL limited. How has this new version been? Has it been as reliable as the older model? Does anyone have any complaints?
:happy3:
Well just got the coil on number 8 cylinder in. It is a pain to get to but if you have replaced any of the others not to bad. The access is the problem because the fuel rail is in the way. Expy runs good and not throwing any codes. I looked at number 4 and i don't know how in the hell...
How hard is it to get to the number 8 coil? My 2003 5.4l starting skipping last night, went this morning and had the code read "misfire on number 8 cylinder". It had the same feeling mine gets when the coil is bad. I have changed 1,2,5,6 already.
It leaks through the drain hole for the sunroof(you have one on each side of the sunroof. You can see them from the top when the sunroof is open) I am afraid that the line on the passengers side is not connected to the drain hole and allows the water to leak into the front floor board.
The drain for my sunroof is still leaking. I have tried to blow it out a couple of times. I now think I need to take my A pillar apart to check the drainage tube to make sue it is connected right. Has anyone done this?
Changing the plugs is very hard. About 3 of the 8 will break into and if you don't have the right tools you can not get them out. Do just the coil and see how it goes.
Took the alternator out(it is very easy to do) and had it checked, It is good. So now the battery is good and the alternator is good whats next? Expedition cranks up good and runs for about 3 min then the check charging system light comes on as does the little battery on the instrument panel.
Anyone replace their alternator? The "check charging system" just popped up on my dash . I had the battery tested and needed a new one, so I have done that, but the light comes back on after the car has been running for aboput 5 min. The lillte battery light also comes one at the same time. I...
Be sure and look at the drain holes for the sunroof. When you open the roof look towards the front and you will see one hole on each side of the car. Take a can of compressed air, stick the little hose into the hole and blow. That should take care of the problem.
Has anyone had any problem with these getting stopped up? Rained hard on Sun. and Mon. Got in on Tues and noticed a leak on the passenger side along the a piller. Opened up the sunroof and put a straw in the drain plugs and tried to blow them out, but I don't think that worked. Does anyone have...
The AC PRO has a meter on it that tells you if its full or not. That way you can add a little or alot to get it up to factory specs or if its full you don't add any.
