    Thanks for clarifying that, I was curious myself but never got around to posting the question. Last time I needed to top up the trans I had a heck of a hard time finding plain old Merc, and if memory serves I actually paid more for it than if I had gone with the V.

    not crazy at all, as long as you have patience and a few hand tools. I suspect the toughest part of the job would be getting the old manifolds off. The bolts tend to rust up and seize - then snap when you try to loosen them. Broken manifold bolts are a pain, but not the end of the world. I...

    I would offer to check it out to see how it is installed on mine (a Canadian sold '97), but I do not have functional DRL. Either it failed or it was removed. And I am just fine with that.
