I actually had a tiny gap where i could slide the tape a smidge behind the flare so when I used a razor blade it didnt cut into the paint. Just used painters tape.
You can always just pull the flares off and do them that way. They arent very hard to get off, I was just to lazy. The worst...
I had one fender snag when peeling off but alll the rest were fine, use a razor blade just dont drag it hard, alsmost cut like a pushing motion not dragging. My fender flares are holding up awesome!!!

I just did some interior pieces and then clear coated them and I love how it looks, to me you get more of an even coverage with this stuff than paint, plus it is hard as hell to have this stuff run and if it does another coating and it is fixed.
