    I wish I could of read this a couple weeks ago, lol. I purchased the remote start fobs for my 2017, then enabled remote start in Forscan. It worked a few times then quit, but I finally figured out the sequence!

    Even if you can't make the changes you want in forscan, the adapter will at least let you read fault codes and stuff.

    2017 3.5l ecoboost Expedition, any known issues?

    Do I need to add something like this? https://accessories.ford.com/catalog/product/view/id/10674/s/aerial-asy/category/159/ I'd say this is the missing step. I will have to tear into mine and see if I have anything plugged into the socket this guy used.

    While you wait on your adapter to arrive, you may want to go the the Forscan forum, register, d/load the software and get the extended license key. Also check for your 2012 options there maybe? https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=836

    I got it to work! I had to do the off on cycle key 8 times method and then they programmed. So then I went to forscan enabled remote start, and Wallah I now have remote start for $48! Edit: it seams the lock unlock works from a distance but the start does not! So I guess the Amazon discount...
