    Gotts Mod vs. Hot Air Intake

    I did exactly what you did, the best intake for a truck like this is a k&n air filter, the gotts mod, and to either replace the bulkey air tube for somthing smooth with minimal restrictions or dremel out the intake silencer from the stock tube!

    Thinkin about more lift

    A guy who used to come around my neighborhood had an f150 fx4 with a 2 inch body lift, it was perfect if I was going to do it thats what I would go with, plus the smaller lift means less frame showing.

    I would not skimp on shocks, no reason to do so, if you want to get rid of the crappy ride you have to get somewhat decent shocks, the cheapest I would go with is skyjacker or superlift shocks, they seem to bethe cheapest shocks, as for springs get new ones in the rear and go with whatever, moog...

    I tried it 5 times over and over and nothing! Any tips or tricks? I make sure all of the doors are unlocked, get in, put the key in and go 1-2-3-4-5 leave it on and NOTHING!

    I get 10, be happy! an expy isnt for mileage, if you have to have an expy, get custom tunes, e fans, gotts mod, better exhaust, possible headers, weight reduction, thats all I can think of

    Samco hoses might be a place to check, and maybe get an aluminum coolant recovery tank thats all I can think of, split open your alternater and powdercoat the case

    Ide say replace it with somthing newer, like 05+ paint is way too expensive for what its worth, I could buy a nice car for what it would cost to get a good paint job on my truck.

    you need to get your truck tuned, mine runs like 1600 rpm's at 55, maybe a regear will be in order, or you might not even be going the speed you think you are because your speedo is off

    I have had this little JL 8w1v2 in the stock box and it worked alright I guess, but during the winter I used my friends 10" boss in a bandpass box and it was great, once his system got put in by me, I put my sub back (w1v2) it sounds like complete poop, and no matter what I do to the stereo...
