Wow, I like that. Looks great!
Used my Expedition to haul the family and my bike to Bald Eagle State Forest for a long weekend away. Lots of good riding in the area including tight, technical single track.
Thanks for the info. I think I might give the Weathertech's a try.
We do the opposite...it's so quiet up here, we have to head to the city for some excitement lol.
Thanks. I installed the wheels/tires on stock suspension with minimal rubbing. I had to pull the rear passenger side inner fender liner toward the frame a bit to alleviate rubbing. Once lifted the rubbing up front was a bit worse at full lock, but nothing seriously detrimental. Just rubbed...
I wanted to start a thread here for everyone to share what they’ve done to (or with) their 4th gen expedition this week (and in the weeks to come). There’s a thread like this on a Land Cruiser forum that I frequent and it’s quite popular.
So let’s see what you’ve been working on this week...
Yes, I started this job alone and once I started re-installing the front strut (with spacer) I realized I needed another set of hands. I didn't loosen the upper or lower control arm bolts as recommended, just used a pry bar on each to get enough clearance to re-install the strut assembly. Keep...
I can't recall specific part numbers, but mine came with a white box labeled F-150 lift or level. Then two additional black spacers for the rear. I used the original nuts to mount the strut to the spacer, then the included nuts to mount the strut/spacer assembly to the body.
I went with the 60" cross bars. Outside of mounting the awning, I'm just putting a Yakima basket up there to stow camp gear for now. The above is a great option for a full platform. Equipt makes a nice setup for my Land Cruiser. Also check out Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms in various sizes.
Original plan was Southwestern Colorado in my Land Cruiser. However, during our trip planning, my buddy found out his wife was pregnant and her pediatrician recommended against the altitude.
New plan is Wyoming; Grand Teton, Yellowstone and whatever else we can find. Much less of a need for...
Picked it up here, but sadly all sold out now.

If you're a service member, former or otherwise, you can get 45% off retail on the Batwing awning (either side). PM me for details.
Thanks! She's not really built for extreme off roading. At least not yet. Most of what I'll see this summer is back road exploration, some mild trails and getting to and from primitive campsites.
The ride with these wheels/tires isn't too far from stock. The ride is a bit more firm and...
Heading out west this summer and have begun building my Expedition into an overland capable family hauler. Not going all out with this...at least yet. Just planning on the basics for this summer; off road capability, ability to sleep 4, basic organization, etc.
First up was wheels and...
I haven't put too many miles on it since returning from traveling last week. Mostly just around town, dropping kids off at school, going to work, etc.
As expected after installing the wheels and tires, the tires have a bit more road noise. Nothing too drastic, just slightly more noticeable...
I don't doubt that the spacers exacerbate the issue to some degree, but the rear wheels aren't centered in the wheel wells from the factory.
Definitely more difficult to notice on the dark colors.
They appear to be a bit forward of center. I can't say I recall specifically, but I'd venture to guess the rear wheels aren't centered in the wheel wells in stock form, either. The effect is a bit more exaggerated in my case.
