I feel your pain on not having a/c..
I live in Florida and not having a/c here is KILLER.
In my case though i have a leak somewhere in the lines, took it to a shop and they shot some dye in there to trace it... have to take it back next week when i have the time for them to track it down.
Any decent mechanice witha tap and die set can easily do this in about 20mins. All they need to do is drill out the stripped bolt (if they cant get it loose first) then CLEAN all the shavings from the bolt that it left behind. Also chances are if the coil burst into the cylinder they will need...
I bought an aftermarket alarm system after the factory alarm failed when my truck was broken into. Its the autopage system which you can program any which way you see fit.. i.e open liftgate, put all windows down/up, remote start etc... options are endless..
I used the factory sub housing to store my amps and capacitors in there, just had to do some cutting and filing to make it work.
As far as the sub box itself, i had a box made to fit behind the 3rd row seat and the lifgate. I have 4 10" subs back there that hit so damn hard, the side windows...
You will be amazed at what people buy these days.. Alot of the time people are looking for certain parts from "parting out trucks" so that they can make their truck newer. I would suggest looking up what a new console goes for for that year and probably sell yours for 3/4 of the price or...
This may seem like a farfetched thing to check but is happend on my friends Expy. Check the oil level for the motor.. In my friends case the motor had oil in it but it was soooo low it wasnt reading on the dipstick and was causing the same sound you describe.
Sounds like your door actuator is acting up. Its pretty straightforward to replace but like everything, its time comsuming since you have to take off the door panel.
As all of you can see, everything has been re-done on the site. There's alot of goodies for members to use and some new tricks for the admin/mods on the site which the old version of the site was lacking. Please let us know if something doesnt work by posting in the site feedback section. Thank You
The door ajar is a common issue that easily fixed by spraying WD-40 in ALL of the door locks. After thats done be sure to cycle the locks a few times (lock/unlock) oh and dont forget to spray the rear hatch window lock as well. This will make the door ajar light go away 99% of the time, if it...
you can also look on ebay. You occasionally find a back yard deal on an entire truck people are scrapping out parts to sell before they junk the truck.
Also, spaying WD-40 on all the locks on the door, even the liftgate lock.. will sometimes make the door ajar go away. Spray all the locks and then cycle them (lock, unlock, lock, unclock) a few times and see if that fixes the problem.
I have been looking at it for 4 days now and cant find where the code was placed. I dont know alot about this stuff, but i know enough to get by. I'll still be looking for the malicious code and hopefully remove it.
Sounds like these are similar to the factory ones that i have.
I had a problem with the compressor not working before which i replaced new from eBay. If my memory serves me right i think it was around 150 +sh with 2 yr warranty. 2wd and 4wd compressors are also available.
I believe the...
Some things come to mind since you have a custom tune... Need bigger injectors? fuel pump?. If not start off small by checking spark plugs and coils may be as simple as one of those.
As the title says i've added a how to section since most of you agreed on it. I think its a good idea as well. In case anyone hasnt seen it yet click this http://www.expeditionforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=27
