i don't experience any bugs on the 15.5 display, and after the last update for temp/fan/seat control with the rotary knob, I don't find anything in the interface difficult to use. The digital display is one of my favorite features of the truck; can it be improved? Sure, like most things.
From fordauthority.com a few days ago:
These details pertain to the interior of the 2025 Ford Expedition, specifically, which is slated to receive a pretty extensive revamp. This total cockpit redo will include the introduction of a coast-to-coast or pillar-to-pillar screen, along with an...
If you're interested in the assisted driving feature, test drive a Platinum. I'm currently driving a rental '22 Limited (my '22 Platinum is in body shop for scraped-up front bumper), and the lane-keeping assist tech on the Limited is not the same as the BluecCruise on the Platinum. While on the...
I've had this '22 Platinum since Nov '22, and .....so far.....it's been absolutely great. My first Expy after 4 Navigators, and aside from not quite the same grade of leather and wood trim, it's better than any of them, from handling/ride (w/CCD) to tech/features/amenities.
I don't think you'd find many people who would have argued with that 28 years ago, when assisted driving technology didn't exist.....
And with the way people drive today, I think BlueCruise does a far better job than a good number of them.
Anton Yelchin. His jeep rolled into him and pinned him against a gate, and he died slowly, age 27. Very tragic.
Wouldn't have happened with electronic shift, where it automatically goes into Park when you push the start/stop button to shut the engine off.
I think I may have figured it out. When I would get the 'watch the road' alert, I would look dead ahead with a fixed stare at the car in front of me, which had no effect on BluecCruise (except maybe it thought I had become catatonic); it would continue the alerts until it would cancel hands...
I haven't moved/changed the seat position at all since first getting the truck, and it was working pretty much flawlessly for the past year until a few weeks ago.
When I first got my 22 a year ago and started (trying to) use hands-free BueCruise on the freeway, it would quickly start to give the 'watch the road' warning, even if I was looking absolutely straight ahead. Once that started it would continue, even if I was staring directly at the license...
There's a stretch on 66 outside of DC where the limit is 55 and the toll lanes running along it to the left are 70 — I initially had the tolerance set at +9 but quickly turned it off completely when the truck would zoom up to 79 when it read a toll road speed sign and I was driving in the 55 lanes.
I've seen that said about WD-40; I use the silicone WD-40 and it doesn't appear to attract/retain dirt—and I drive thru lots of it, and mud as well. That DuPont dry film lubricant looks interesting though, I might give that a try.
