No, there's nothing at all obstructing a full view from both cameras, and I made sure the plastic covering them is clean.
So far no one else is having this issue....?
'22 Platinum. Driving on the same ~20 min. stretch of the 66 freeway: sometimes after hands-free engages it works perfectly for the entire trip, other times it's CONSTANTLY giving me the 'watch the road' warnings and then disengaging hands-free. I can be doing a continuous dead stare precisely...
Clever idea. I hope they include that in the next Expedition software update, at least to control fan and seats.
For fan, still easier to be able to use voice command to say 'fan off,' 'fan lo,' or 'fan speed 3,' but volume knob control would be very nice too.
Yes—I rented a 2022 Expedition with that 12" screen while mine was in the shop (I had my new Platinum for 2 weeks and someone backed into it in a parking lot....) and you can easily find that fan control lever without looking. Also on some of my past Navigators both the temp and fan speed...
I love the 15.5; that's one of the reasons (besides price....) that I got the Expedition instead of another Navigator. Just saying 'temperature 75°' is great and much easier than looking/feeling for a knob or dial; adding voice commands for fan and seat control is just a simple software...
'22 Platinum, 15.5" screen w/Sync 4A:
The voice recognition accepts commands to set temperature (e.g., "Set temperature 80°"), and with that will adjust the fan speed to what it deems appropriate for that temperature, but I can't get the system to recognize any voice command to control the fan...
I finally found 3 fuses in the interior fusebox that are only active (+12V) when engine is running or 'Accessories' is on:
35 - 'not used'
36 - image processing/park assist
37 - heated steering wheel
I'm trying to install a dashcam that needs a +12V line that is active with 'accessories' — so it would power off when the accessories power times out. It looks like the power to all the fuses in the interior fusebox is always +12V—none seem to go to 0V. Am I missing something, or any suggestions...
Picked it up today (6 mi. on the odometer, so no pre-delivery joyride). Really a beautiful car, and looks very impressive in person. Handling, performance, features all excellent. The only thing I would have preferred is a better quality leather; the Platinum has the upgraded 'luxury leather,'...
1/21 order: after several pushed-back production/shipping/delivery estimates (the latest delivery estimate was 11/21), my Platinum finally arrived at the dealer today, going to pick it up tomorrow.
Dark Matter Gray/Carmello
I'm at 9+ months now (1/21), expected delivery next week, but others have waited almost a year here.......
The delete I'm most not happy with is the hands-free tailgate; dealer doesn't know if it can be retrofitted later, I hope it can be.
My 'expected delivery' just got pushed back another week, to 11/2-11/8. Ford marketing 800-334-4375, if you really press them for details, will have the most current information. Today they told me it's been moved from the factory in KY and is in another city in the possession of the shipper...
Well this will probably sound preachy, but it's meant with good intentions, to give a little perspective: there's so many people with truly difficult problems or tragic life circumstances who would think that a day where their only problem was not being able to save a grand or two on their...
On the Ford tracker ( https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking ) does it say
Shipped
Your vehicle is In Transit or on its way to your dealership.
If not, there could be some kind of parts/chip hold....Ford may be able to give you more information @ 800-392-3673.
That's nice that your build was early enough to get the hands-free liftgate; it's been a required delete for awhile, and currently for 2023 orders also To me that's an incredibly useful feature (and deleted in my 10/6 build). The dealer at this point doesn't know if it can be retrofitted...
Built the same day as went In Production? Mine has been In Production for a week now; ford said In Production only means the build order was sent to the factory but they can't say when it will actually be built. Has anyone else had long delays on this?
I'm bringing 4 Nitto Recon Grapplers (Nitto's replacement for the Terra Grappler) to the dealer when mine arrives and having them swap out whatever tires come with it from the factory before I drive it off the lot. The various factory tires that came on my Navigators were unusable on the gravel...
